MostOfAll
That's why I behave in-game the way Niko would if he were real and only go on killing sprees when I need a break from the story, but I do not record these killings by saving, so... never happened. That's exactly how I played the game. I'm glad to know someone else does it the same way.

cf9
I think it's out of character for Niko and CJ, but not for Tommy or Claude, especially the latter. Claude creeps me the f*ck out, to be honest. Never speaks, will kill anyone for money without a flinch or any objection. He's just... weird. It would be cool to see a game about his earlier life, or at least a short film. And about Niko, I don't think he'd just go on rampages. But he's the most fun guy to do it with, so who cares? mrpain
Did you know that is possible to complete GTA IV (to 100%) with only 9 kills. Although, you do still have to kill people it is possible to do it so that they do not count in your game stats! Hey that's actually really interesting! I never knew that. Is there a way to do that without dying multiple times?

Yes, it is interesting, might even be possible to complete the game with less than 9 kills but you can not do it without dying multiple times, although you only save when you get it right. I'm considering posting a thread with the rules etc for anyone interested in having a go...something to do while we wait for GTA V you need to be a good player and possibly a little bit crazy! EDIT: Since making this post, I've gradually got the kill count down to ZERO kills. Edited May 8, 2012 by Jasper Petrol
Magic_Al
He could be psychotic, in which case his occasional acts of kindness as random and senseless as his killing. It's up to the player's interpretation. They tried to make the effect of cumulative good and bad decisions affect gameplay with the honor system in RDR, although it's present to some extent in the respect and like stats of GTA. If Niko is a dick to everyone all the time he never gets friendship abilities.
Kwandilibro
I imagine Niko would be somewhat unstable after what he's been through, so it's not entirely impossible to think that at some point he would just flip and and kill everyone. I actually think Niko wouldn't kill just anyone. He has enough self-control to be around people who annoy him the most. He would only kill those who have done something to him, such as betraying him. Examples: Niko pretty much goes on a rampage to find Vlad and kill him. Niko seemed like he would go out of his way just to find Darko.

I heard about playthroughs like that, although I thought the "record" was something like 30 or 40.
Seleets
Sure it's out of character, but it's also fun to do. How boring would the game be if you didn't have the freedom to do so?
