Lucky Sevens
People who are 40+ are still well capable of pulling themselves up onto buildings. This^ w/ my added clues. If James Bond could do it, and Chuck Norris. Parkour will be usefull and fun. Expect a Mcguyver type protagonist. This guy is about money, not violence. This guy will be able to adapt to any situation, he is extremely fit and agile, but don't expect a circus acrobat. This guy may have more than one identity. There was a blind guy in SA, who may not have really been blind. There was a policeman with a surname that related to money in SA, who had a son. Children revolve around plot themes. Make of this what you will, no more hints for now. Edited November 6, 2011 by Lucky Sevens
bobgtafan
Just make a character who can move like Ezio from AC and call it a day if they do it.
Shadowfox_
Yea it would b pretty cool if they had something like true crime hong kong where you can wallrun and do basic moves but it wud be even cool if parkour was used in the combat
Konfusi0n
I think parkour would work out. It would make running from the cops on foot more fun and it would be cool to get up on tall buildings. It would be cool only if they implemented it correctly though.
xxcyylonexx
It would be pretty cool if it wasn't too much. Nothing like Assassin's Creed or anything (even though i love those games) but definitely more than the other GTAs would be nice.
Lucky Sevens
RE: My previous post. Note R* employees are only given 'departments' to work on, they are never told the grand scheme, to prevent to major leaks. Just add up the bits and pieces put out, the rest we'll have to wait and see.
grope_4_that_date
It can't be like Assassin's creed, but I see what you're saying. For a long time, I've always imagined a GTA where you run from the police. My vision is always the same: It's dark. The police are chasing you on foot. You're jumping over fences, sliding over cars, running through people's houses. Their light censors in the backyard go off. Dogs barking, car alarms ringing... then you climb up on a roof and see the cops run in the other direction. You're Wanted Level disappears. Ratone
Running from the police is something etched in our minds forever. I know by reading this many of you can already hear the panting of some overweight cop saying he can't go on while his most agile partner keeps up. It's part of movies and our urban culture. IN GTA IV the police didn't really try to chase you/arrest you. Most of the time they just searched for covers and tried to gun you down. I don't remember being arrested in the game, actually. And with the new mechanic of die: keeps weapons // arrested: loses weapons, that we saw in GTA4, I would wish for the cops to really try to keep up, try to grab you, put you down, arrest you. I Mean, it makes sense, right? A cop is supposed to look at the big picture, if he kills everyone he finds commiting crimes, he won't be able to get information, get money from the dude and all that stuff. So yeah, I think we definetly need to be able to keep our momentum on the game, nothing fancy, but if its useful, why not? And btw, we can't forget that scene in the end of the trailer, where the cops are running trying to catch the young guy. Maybe that was a cutscene, but maybe it was a hint that on-foot chasing would be on.
Cyper
Personally, I don't want to see it. At all. Basic ability to run and sprint is enough.
phs1234
People complain that IV didn't have enough fun features, then proceed to say "leave parkour out of my DRIVING game." I'd think parkour or free-running would be a great addition to a GTA game. BMX tricks/stunts/riding was fun in SA, doing the same with our character's body would be tight, too. Sunrise Driver
People complain that IV didn't have enough fun features, then proceed to say "leave parkour out of my DRIVING game." Funnily those people are ok with shooting in driving game.
