And maybe a police scanner/radar detector like in Midnight Club LA, that would give you a good warning that a cop car is in the vicinity, so you can avoid running a red light in front of them. Matty Posted November 6, 2011 Share Posted November 6, 2011 For the sake of realism, that would be a good addition to Grand Theft Auto V, but for the sake of fun; I don't think that it is such a good addition as it would take away the player's ability to be able to control when they want the cops on them, in my opinion. I like realism, but I still like to have the freedom to go as fast as I want down a street without having to worry about the cops giving chase. urbanfire Posted November 6, 2011 Share Posted November 6, 2011 No. It was really annoying back in the driver days (I mean you were an undercover cop that could get arrested by other cops sigh...), but it was really off putting in Midnight Club LA when all I wanted was to get to the other side of town to start a mission, but the cops saw me speeding and gave chase. In that game you can't start a mission if the cops are on your tail, so I spent another 20 minutes trying to shake of the cops (yes, 20 mins because the cops ai are alot smarter in that game than GTA) GTA was about an escape from reality as it allowed the ability to do things which in real life you wouldn't dare think about. The fun is taken completely out of the game if the repurcussions of your actions in game also mimic those in real life (i.e. getting busted for speeding - even I have in real life) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
