kgrogfefji82
I mean it's a nice time waster and I'm not against having it in the game, it would add to the playtime a little bit, but at the same time I kind of hate it because I become obsessed with the car. I'll spent a lot of cash and sh*t on pimping my car up, now all of the sudden I drive around, I scratch it and it's just a dirty whore to me, I don't wanna be anywhere near inside it if you catch my drift Wow went deep there with there with the puns, that sh*t is layered. Anyways, are there any others here that can live without it? Stuff like nitro is cool though because it affects the gameplay and is awesome if you wanna go do some crazy stunt jumps, but as far as making it flashy, it's fun when I'm there in the garage, but after that I hate what it does to me, it just makes me enjoy the game less because all I'm doing is making sure I'm not scratching up my car. Now weapon customization, from the trailer it appears we're finally getting it. THAT is something I'm excited for.

TMR2007
I can live happily without car customization; if it's there then sweet, I get to do some modding and get a unique car. If it's not then no biggy, the games going to f*cking rock!
DawidZnawca
I'm just looking forward for nitro like in TBoGT. It's fun.
Darkshade12
I do, it gives the game even more freedom. Let's not forget freedom is the main part of the GTA series. Also having your own unique car makes you feel like you have something of your own that nobody else has.
AceRay
I never drive my pimped cars in GTA SA, simply because I crash too easily. GTA IV would have been great for this, I can make cars last twice as long in that game. If its like GTA IV, I'd like it.
StoneyWhistle
Umm, I wanna see the Rancher back like it was in IV, and have better off-road tires, so I can get my redneck on. Yee HAW!
NCONiall
I don't mind it. It's a nice feature to have though but in SA I never really customized my cars because then I'd have to worry about saving it and taking up garage space etc... NeXt Vice City
It's a nice feature, and I did enjoy customising my cars in GTA:SA, but I guess I could live without it in V. The most annoying part was as you say, paying sh*tloads of money to mod your car, then either crashing or losing it.
AceRay
In fact, they need to make it so that whenever I leave my pimped up ride anywhere, a truck will come, repair it for a small fee and drop it off at my garage, so I don't have to drive it back all the time. K-Malo94
I actually much prefer customization. Not to the ridiculous extent SR2 had thought, but when all you can buy is food, guns, and some crappy clothes, thats not much of an incentive to make money. Yeah exactly, the thing i hated about IV is if i took my car from my parking space on a mission i'd often end up loosing it forever.
The_Mario_Man
The only thing customizable cars are really good for is permanently wasting a garage slot when you end up never using the car. If there was a way to 'save' a car so that it can be recalled anywhere, even if is completely wrecked, customization will be more useful.
Groundogg
I'm the same, it's fun to play around with but I get more enjoyment out of making and storing it in my garage as my own unique vehicle. I don't know if it's my playstyle or GTA as a game but cars last about 2 minutes with me, I'm constantly robbing new ones. Car customisation is a fun little side game but it's nothing major for me. Tipper
IMO whenever you mod a car, it end up looking less good than it was before so I don't see the point. However I like that in SA you could chose your car's colour, instead of respraying it over and over until you get the colour you like. That said, I'm not the selfish kind of guy, I wouldn't mind if car customization was left out, but if many people do want it, why not? As far as something's optionnal or at least very occasionnal, I won't mind.
SchizNitz
I don't care about car customization, I hate, but most of you probably know that already. If its in the game i might use it once to see what they put in it, but other then that i see really no point for customizing cars if your just going to crash soon after customizing it and then stealing another car. FilipinoGoblin
If the trailer is right that the NPCs are smarter... (The girl staring at the flashy car as she walked) Then this could be a cool thing. But to further it, there could be things you could add to your car like soundwoofers, etc... Driving around LA with rap music at 2 in the morning in Grand Theft Auto in my pimped out infernus sounds epic, so it'd be badass to see this in the game... Oh, along with the sound system customization, have the customization like they did in Midnight Club: Los Angeles

Using "getting 1 scratch on the car and I don't want it anymore" is a pathetic excuse to try to use to excuse Car modding from 2nd gen San Andreas. As far as I'm concerned you aren't even a true fan of GTA with that kind of thinking. That disgusts me to hear people say that. Pathetic. Just pathetic. edenstal
I liked the way Mafia 2 did they car customization, it wasn't anything special really, but it gave you a few choices at least, though in Mafia 2 it was a more neccessary feature. IMO I don't need the car customization, but it would be a nice feature at least
ArcaneKnight
Dude its only a game, not real life. I love car customization, sometimes i want to be the only one with different car in the game. Exactly. I almost think this is someone that is working for Rockstar trying to "prep" people up for the bad news when we finally find out Rockstar isn't putting car modding back in the game.. Then their hopes will be, that everyone will try to look at the bad news from this nerd's point of view, and think "alright that's fine. I didn't want to drive any used whores around, anyway." The hell up and go back to Rockstar studios you geek and tell them they better throw Car modding back in or we all aren't going to buy the game, and that we'll completely abandon the GTA franchise if they try to take mods away from us. Hey, Laufas, buddy if you do happen to work for Rockstar, tell them to avoid everything ArcaneKnight says like the plague if they want to sell more than one copy of V. TreyCrll
I would love to c this feature back from the grave. I miss the 1st gen SA days. I used to drift all over the las venturas airport runway in a pimped out tuner, or cruise over through grove st. In my lowlow lol but off topic for some reason i really miss being able to buy houses,, buy a lot of cloths, and level up my skills and sex appeal as i went through the game. Halo_Override
It takes a Nathan of Fillions to hold us back! Anyway, I'm in the group that would like to have car customization, but I also agree that it's a bit of a waste if there's no way to save a default car that you can respawn if you destroy it. kgrogfefji82
I'm definitely all for having it in the game, I'm just saying I'm one that would definitely be able to live without it. Nitro though, that's another story, I'd love to have this, it'd be a lot of fun for stunt jumps and such, I remember SA though, blurred the screen up like crazy when you used it, that was annoying (is it okay arcaneknight if I call that annoying? Or does this mean I'm twice over not a true fan?)
