But I hate it when PETA starts complaining because you can kill flies on a videogame with your smoke.... It's idiotic!!! We humans are technically animals. We just invented the word 'Animal' to socially separate ourselves from other creatures of the earth.. ...following that logic we're ALL and i mean really ALL, every breathing living thing on this planet (animals, insects, human beings even plants!...) we are all CREATURES, which nature created! so no we're not ANIMALS, we're living creatures! case closed... Your proving my point...Animal is just a word. All creatures of the earth all have a common ancestor. Both humans and monkeys both have a common ancestor. primates are closeted related to us. 'Animal' is just something made up, just like race. well...you just made it sound like you insist, that every living thing is an animal, thats why i picked up in arms with my comment, anyway yes you're right...so it does applies to stars, planets, clusters, galaxies etc as well, which we all name ourselves, but term doesn't change a "meaning"... I understand. But the reason for me saying this, is because animal groups would put animal life above human life. But our distant ancestor wouldn't think twice for wiping out a certain species if needed. If an hippo came at me, I wouldn't hesitate to defend myself. But God created animals and humans... I'm not going to get into this, because I do not want this thread to go way off topic and get locked. But by quoting you kind of did. Everyone knows what you were going to say. Even worse: Rats in Battlefield 3. Yes, for real. There better won't be any ants or flies in the game or PETA is going to sue R* for stepping on ants and killing the flies/mosquitos. Carnivores barley attack humans...Carnivores like Lions, Bears,wolves,etc stay clear of humans. It is herbivores that usually attack humans and cause human deaths. Examples..Hippos, Elephants and wildebeest are the top human killers of Africa, especially the Hippo. Lions or Hyenas barely if not at all prey on humans. I would rather be around a fully fed lion pride than a group of Hippos. Would I found crazy about RDR is that wolves would always attack. Wolves never attack humans. They are more afraid of humans than we are them. Carnivores are dangerous to humans, but Herbivores are usually the man killers. I've just seen people say we won't see animals ingame because of the outcry PETA would make about it, so that's why R* will leave them out. Go the legal route, and they can't say sh*t. So on that note, please stop disrespecting me. Obviously if you go through the time to think out a new way to put it in the game, you DO want it in the game. You can kill animals in other games, there's no reason GTA should be any different. It's not disrespectful to point out to users that a proper thread already exists. It's quite a bit more disrespectful to go on and on creating repeat threads every hour or so and create so much work for the moderators. Instead of looking for loopholes to create new topics, users should be looking for the best related topic. Enough of your nonsense. On topic: I don't think PETA will have any issue with this, it's just a video game, it's only breathing and living creatures that concerns them. In any case, I'm glad to have wildlife in GTA V for the realism factor, but I'm not too bothered about hunting them anyway. Hunting is not something that's very GTA, for a game that's more concerned with crime and making money, I would not be that bothered if it was not included as a feature in the gameplay. I think it's terribly arrogant and misguided to think we're somehow superior or "special", there are many animals that show human levels of intelligence so we're not really that far off. So case not closed, case very much open. Not trying to shake your faith, just saying don't push that on me like it's a fact. @OP: In reality PETA can bitch, and probably will, but that's all...No legal precedent for a lawsuit (if they did they'd lose). Their games include blood, gore, the protagonists committing all sorts of crime, including killing innocent civilians on the streets as they see fit, as well as cops, fire-fighters and paramedics. They corporate terrorism, drugs, gang culture, mockingly parody several companies, politicians, ethnic groups, social groups, include racism, sexism and almost everything-ism. They've legally taken on anti-violence groups, concerned parents, D.A.s(Jack Thompson), anti-drugs groups, and all manner of protesting groups and individuals, and won every time. I killed a deer monday because it's better than the horomone/steroid meat that you buy at the store. A lot of rural people have always, and are using deer instead of the over-priced crap at the store. Same with squirrel, rabbit, and turkey. Well, in most rural places that is... Peta are fools in most ways, but I understand their message. They might wanna leave hunters alone and stick to people who abuse animals. In a court of law it will be acknowledged that only over 18s buy the game as the law states and people of that age, again as the law states, are capable of making sensible decisions such as not to kill animals after seeing it in a game.
