Static94 Posted December 10, 2011 Share Posted December 10, 2011 whyy is everybody posting ONLY either extremely old or unknown songsi don't have a problem with having old/unknown songs in the game, it'll be good, but c'mon, the game is set in very modern times, we're bound to have a modern radio station playing britney, katy perry, eminem and sh*t im not bashing anyone for posting old/unknown songs, as i said it'll be good to have a mix, but we need some newer jams in this thread yo!! 80% of people are actually posting modern & very famous songs/artists... As someone who has been in numerous bands of those genres, I'll contriboot I know how R* likes some of their slightly comedic-sounding music, so I present King Diamond. Most people have heard of Megadeth, and they've add a great vibe to a police chase Contribooting some Obituary, just because TBOGT had Deicide and Cannibal Corpse. Plus they're awesome Anoither thrash song, Exodus' best album to date. Maybe the radio host of (possibly named) Radio X will be one of those "New music sucks" guys. Satan just because...Why wouldn't they want to include a heavy metal band called Satan Maybe they could add some more Agnostic Front. I know Victim in Pain was in GTA IV, but this is my favorite song from that album Note: I'm trying to keep most of the music up-beat and fast. Not mopey or slow. Tupac - Stay True .. talks about the west coast and a couple LA bits thrown in there. Beach Boys - All Summer Long... very beachy sound to this one. Eazy E - Nobody Move .. about a bank robbery... pretty damn funny actually. Rancid - Red Hot Moon... some more Cali references. Tom Petty - Time to Move on... great song to just aimlessly drive to.. I recommend doing this IRL. haha. Rage Against the Machine - Know Your Enemy... would be somewhat fitting for whats going on etc. political outrage whatever. Paul Wall - Sittin Sideways... No real explanation here. Grateful Dead - Friend of the Devil... another great driving tune. Stone Temple Pilots - Trippin on a hole in a Paper Heart.. Maybe because they had an STP song in SA, maybe its because Im on a STP kick lately, I dono, pretty good energy for a GTA though. Hole - Malibu... It pains me to praise Courtney Love, but I do like this song, and it relates to Cali. Dynamite Hack - Boyz n the Hood... haha had to add this version instead of Eazys Bleh, cant think of anything else Id prefer at the moment.. most are 90s songs... yeah... almost all hah, whoops. Some people at R* are actually pretty hip and know what good music is. They won't just fill the soundtrack with the mainstream sh*t you see on MTV or whatever. The repeating music in the background sounds really like a GTA theme to me The other two songs not that great imho. Lil Wayne sounds almost like Kat Williams joking around I'm not a huge rap music fan either.
