Especially when you can just steal a fast car. I loved RedDead and everything, riding horses, but all I wanted to do was drive the car in Blackwater... I had very mixed feelings about RDR preventing you from driving the car. Rockstar obviously felt Marston wouldn't drive one, but it's an OPEN world. CJ "wouldn't" have done most of the stuff he can do in SA. I think the game world should be fairly realistic but the character should be controlled by the player. It was 1910-11 in an area of the country that was still mostly rustic in nature. Only two cars were owned in the area , one was a broken down rust bucket , and the other was owned by Edgar Ross/BOI. Horses, for example, are one of those features that would add to realism as there are multiple stables around the greater LA area. But you always have to put two questions: 1 – does GTA V need horses? 2 – if the answer for 1 is no: does the higher amount of realism and/or fun potential justice the effort and storage it needs to be implemented? blowtorchrepair Posted December 5, 2011 Share Posted December 5, 2011 SURE! at least a horse ranch with some horse back mountain riding wouldn't hurt... there could even be a mission of assassinating a foe while on a horseback ride, or maybe riding horseback thru some mountains to a secret marijuana field of a rival gang/foe in order to set it ablaze. ? and since we'll be close to Mexico, how about a donkey show too? Seeing as our character isn't a cowboy I'm not sure there'll be there for riding but I think there'll be some wild ones in the rural areas. And R* needs to add missions where you have to steal a number of cars for a friend like Brucie from IV and get them back to a random location each time you acheive the car. It would add a lot of atmosphere to farmland areas. It would also add atmosphere to see hikers and outdoors-man in general using horses in bad terrain like the mountainous areas.
