Why can't we eat inside stores as we shop?

When i went into a gamestop to view some games, i had just opened up a sandwich i bought and started to eat it inside store; one of those workers came over to me and said "sir, you can't eat that in here" i told him that i will not make a dirt on the games because the games i was viewing had some protective covers on those. He still insisted that i can't eat that sandwich because of "store policy"; so i had to wait to eat it until finished viewing games even though i was starving hungry.

Why do they have this silly policy? i mean we can eat on trains, buses, everywhere in public, so why not inside the store too? mad.gif

leik oh em jeez!

Anything that's human nature, you're not allowed to do in public.

So even if i will not get food on their products, like those games were covered with protective casing, i still can't eat my food when i'm spending money in that store???

Erm, well, no. It's rude. If I worked in a shop, I wouldn't want you covering any of my merchandise with sticky sandwich filling, milkshake, dusty snacks or anything of the sort. Sure, you might be the most careful customer around, but why would I take that risk? You sure as hell aren't going to buy the one you've messed up, so what am I supposed to do with it then?

F*ck no, eat and then shop.

I don't want to pick up a game/any other product with your spittle and food particles all over it.

Yup. I don't know what's so tasty that you absolutely can't wait until you finish it to buy something. Unless you're carrying a 12 piece bucket of chicken or something, how long must it take to finish what you're eating?

Not really. I was going to lock this, but I want to see how disgusting some people are. How many people enjoy running their fingers through a fresh book with a fine coating of cheese poof dust fluttering about?

Look, I don't want to see you cramming down a sandwich while I shop. Have some manners, and common sense consideration.

look, i thought it was the general consensus to not consume food items within a building unless its a designated eating area, or something like your own home.

i cant go around college eating food unless im outside or in the common room.

Well, maybe i don't want to see someone with bad breath standing behind me in line and breathing on my neck but we must still tolerate that.

Well, it's official...

You're a complete f*cking idiot.

Well first of all, like the others have mentioned, it's rude. And besides, I'd rather not pick up an item at a store that has had some idiot's greasy hands all over it. You go to a store to shop, not become a self-serviced private cafe. It's called being courteous.

Yeah, it's like, if someone had a sh*t over some food, would you eat it?

Considerate (adj): showing kindly awareness or regard for another's feelings, circumstances, etc.: a very considerate critic.

Pwah.... if I were manager, I won't want my next customer finding a piece of salami on a game cover with a rat trying to stuff it into its mouth. If I walked into your Gamestop, pulled out my footlong and started to touch everything with my mayo filled and greasy fingers, would you like it? I sure hope you won't, or else you are just saying that you live in a pig sty as your home.

If you need to eat, go outside, do your thing and come back in. People don't want to walk into a store and see the leftovers of someone's lunch.

idiots these days....

Yeah, it's like that, except for the fact that it's not like that.
