Buffalo Soldier
Yeah I think so, not all locations but I'm confident the Ganton area will return and especially Glenn Park and Grove Street. With GTA III - It didn't really matter as much that they kind of got rid of those old locations, I don't think anyone of us paid attention to that in GTA III as we did in San Andreas. And I think in San Andreas in the early days of it, we spent so much time going back and forth from GS to GP and alot of us have good memories around Ganton from the start of San Andreas, so it really would be a shame to just get rid of it. I'm looking forward [and this will sound silly] to going to places like The Green Bottle Bar in Grove Street, I hope that returns - and just saying to myself 'sh*t man this is where Denise was ran over by a firetruck on our first date back 7 Years ago'. I mean even though it'll be completely different, I'll still think like that.
B Rob
If indeed GS and the Ballas return it will be interesting to see what happened after SA ended. Did the Ballas die out and The Grove runs pretty much everything or did the Ballas gain strength and overtake GS? Maybe the inner city gang war is still going on today which would be pretty cool. Buffalo Soldier
I don't want to see anything from SA back. Maybe some parodies here and there, but no. Who wants to pay for a game which is simply an HD remake of San Andreas? Judging by the amount of little angry San Andreas fanboys on YouTube who constantly cry on every GTA video about how 'Rockstar should just go back to San Andreas and make it for the PS3, screw everything else in life' - I'm guessing alot of people would buy it. One-time
I would love to see the Ganton cul-de-sac and Glenn Park in V.
JoshGTAfreak
It would feel a bit lazy if they just created the same city with better graphics and added more to it. That's why I'm %90 sure they won't do that. Plus, remember the interstate sign from the trailer? It had quite a few different names.
Dr. Zoidberg
Everyone wants CJ, Claude, Tommy and Lance Vance Pance back because people dont like change. They prefer the comfort of knowing their old characters play the part or at least some of the part in this new game. Take it with recent release of movies these days. They're all reanimated live action versions of old comic book heros, why? because everyone knows who Spiderman is, everyone knows who Superman, Batman, Joker, Thor, Ironman are.. because people know who these characters are and thats what rakes in the cash. So no matter how much you dismiss the fact that these old characters wont be in the new GTA:V, these fans will still hope for these characters to come back, even though its best to start with something new. Good points there. I think it's a bit odd that people are making such bold statements here, about whether we see old characters or places return, given that we know next to nothing about GTA V. Even though Liberty City was pretty much completely recreated for GTA IV, that doesn't mean R* will keep repeating that with all the other cities. If there's something we can be pretty sure about at this point, it's that there will be tons of stuff in GTA V era Los Santos that wasn't there in GTA:SA, as the city is in all likelihood going to be much bigger than the Los Santos in GTA:SA. After all, the first Los Santos was only one of three cities in the game, whereas now it seems we're not getting the other two.
Ocado22
I think its going to keep most of it's area names like Ganton etc... But if you think, the game as far as we know so far is only going to be set in Los Santos (not San Fierro, Las Venturas), so to expand the one city to be bigger than the entire San Andreas map will make Los Santos in GTA V almost unrecognisable. EscoLehGo
I honestly think a lot of familiar things from the old los santos will return. rockstar always does a good job with reading their fans and they have to realize that a lot of us connected with SA in a way that we didn't with GTA 3 in terms of characters and locations. I'm almost positive we'll see a lot of familiar faces and places just based off that alone
Buffalo Soldier
I hope Idlewood returns, I loved that place.
TheMarinov
I would love to see a completely revamped Los Santos, but they have to do a small throwback to Ganton and the Grove Street cul-de-sac. It would be such a waste if they don't. Plus, literally all the location in the GTA:SA Los Santos are real locations in real LA... they can't cut them out if they are going to recreate LA in V the way New York was recreated in IV. I'm not asking missions about CJ or anything, I just would like to drive through Ganton and see a few Ballas here and there, a few GSF as well. I'm sorry but you can't not have them, the Crips and Bloods are just as much a part of Los Angeles as the USBankBuilding, etc etc. Sure, they're not as influential as they were 15 years ago, but I still don't think half the people on this forum would drive through Inglewood or Compton in real life, so why should Idlewood and Ganton be different? Remember, this time round the chances are that we won't be a black gangbanger with ties to these gangs, we'll probably be a seasoned mafiosi, so we won't be looked favourably upon by either Los Santos Gang. Just my two cents.
Jon_Gravelli
Seeing an allusion to the Johnson House would be pretty cool, although little, if any physical features carried over from 3 to 4, so i don't know if the same will apply to San Andreas/ GTA

DarrinPA
GREAT PICS SergioBel! I like the video that BluesBoyJr posted also. Whether or not CJ is in the game, the ghetto is a big part of real life LA. They can't just leave it out because they don't want to go back to an old game. Will there actually be a Grove Street? Possibly, and if there isn't I'm sure GTASA fans will find one that looks close enough to re-live the glory days.
