Staunton Island Changed to Algonquin, Shoreside Vale changed to Alderney, and Broker and Dukes was Portland I believe. So I believe the names will be changed at least. Frank.s Posted November 5, 2011 Share Posted November 5, 2011 I think all the street + district names will be different however the city will probably have the same traits of old LS like a cul-de-sac deep in the ghetto, the rolling la hills, park(s) that are also a hub for a local gang, and any distinctive features of irl LA. I meant with that what i said, things which are symbolyzing Los Angeles (for example the skyline, the ghettos, the "glen park", the beach, gangs -especially ballas, grove and some mexican dudes-, harbour, etc, etc, ...). Probably be run down, Johnson's house destroyed beyond recognizion. Grove St sign bent. It would be a nice reference. Symbolizes how much time passes. Twang. Posted November 5, 2011 Share Posted November 5, 2011 I bet we'll see more carry-over from SA in V than we did from III to IV as far as names and landmarks go. III was their first 3D game and I'm sure there was a lot of stuff they would have done differently. With SA, on the other hand, they knew more what they wanted. bluesboyjr Posted November 5, 2011 Share Posted November 5, 2011 Everything will be new, but there will be plenty of things that look similar, simply because both Los Santoses were based off of Los Angeles, so landmarks like the Capitol Records building we can see have been carried over. Vinewood has returned, but this was probably only because it was mentioned a lot in IV. I predict that there will be a few place names carried over, but they'll be completely redesigned. III's Liberty was a generic city with multiple influences whereas SA's Los Santos was based solely on LA so there will obviously be many similarities. Landmarks that were in SA will also be in V as they are both based on the same city, and the naming will be at least partly consistent between the games - Vinewood for example. The Muscle Sands (although strangely the sign now says that it's at Vespucci beach and it used to be between Santa Maria Beach and Verona Beach. The Downtown skyline. Capital Records.
