All in 2 months time. And many of my friends do the same, so 2 games a month isn't even a lot. And a dual release can be very profitable for a publisher. If they release both Bioshock and GTAV around October, they're going to be dominating the market. In the 'Shooter' genre, and in the 'Free-roam' genre. GTAV won't be moved for Bioshock, and Bioshock won't be moved for GTAV. And that's not wishful thinking, that's logic. And if they include some kind of booklet in each game, referencing to the other (Bioshock or GTAV), that will only rocket their sales. May 2013 won't improve sales, as most American kids get 1 game for Christmas. May isn't even close to Christmas. And all of those little kids wil buy CoD anyway.

This is Grand Theft Auto. It will sell, no matter when it comes out, no matter what games it's up against. It will sell. The Bioshock guys are more worried about released at the same time GTA is, than the GTA guys are worried about Bioshock.

My post had nothing to do with when it is going to be released. It will be released when R* is ready to release it.

 

My point is that that's the only thing affect the release date... R*'s readiness. I doubt they care about what other games are coming out, or what holidays are approaching, when they release it. It doesn't matter, because it won't have any significant effect on sales of the game. You seem to think that they'll choose a release date based on maximize sales. My point is that sales will be maximized no matter what.
