garinhash
San Fierro and Las Venturas are the most important to me, having the game only in Los Santos would kill it for me. I want ALL of San Andreas! then the monster truck, and car customization (NOS, wheels, paint ect...)
alifjenius
Storyline. If the storyline is messed up, I definitely won't play this game ! And it has to be realistic mission, not like that SA storyline, though some of them are realistic. Protagonists. Well, it's kinda fun to have many POVs, but it's a bit unfocused. Hope there will be only 1 protagonist. GTA SA's feature. Customizing character, car modification, gang war... Without them all, it's not San Andreas. Jacuk
Hmm, i must admit that nothing will make me not buy GTA , but for some reason i have never gotten into San Andreas , it was fine and it was fun but it was lacking one huge thing that GTA IV and which GTA III in part had, a captivating story with characters you can connect with. I know some people did not like playing Nico but i thought the story was excellent, it was realistic in some part, we didn´t see him go from bum to Bill Gates, we saw him go from bum to someone who had made a decent living for him and his cousin and wife. (except for the bad ending where Roman dies) which seeems realistic So a GTA V with no story and a main character who goes from super poor to super rich will turn me a bit off from playing it. The_Regulator
At this point, after the huge step back they took in IV, and after all that's been announced, as long as it builds on IV/EFLC, I'm happy. Naturally, this would mean being at the very least on par with SA 1st gen. If it ends up being just GTA IV with countryside, I wouldn't go as far as disowning it, or even saying it'll kill the game, but I will be disappointed. Without a doubt. For as big of a scale this game is, I want to see big things for it too.

GuantanamoObama
Playing as a Mexican immigrant, no airplanes, no Las Venturas (could care less about SF), not many clothing options like IV, no jetpack, no parachute, and a very small amount of cheat codes. Fireboyd78
The handling from GTA IV. I hope they improve on them without breaking what was such a great platform on IV. That's about it, everything else doesn't matter to me.

CJfromGroveST
They would kill GTA V if they leave out the freedom that was in Gta SA, make it as fun as Gta Sa, but keep the realism.
ArcaneKnight
@ UrbanFire, those Cheetah's are almost a little too retro for me at this point. If it comes back, I hope it's the F355.. Like these, it'd be sweet if they had variations of it too. Hard top/Targa top(T-Top)/Convertible.
Rockstar20124
What would kill GTA V for me? Another jumbled mess of a story like in SA. Actually if it's just LS and surrounding areas it should be fine. Not being a government spy for hire stealing green goo and sh*t like that. I hope the story is equally as awesome as GTA IV was. Yeah, for me the story totally collapsed going from Los Santos to the god awful county side missions / San Fierro Luckily at least for me it got a bit better in Las Venturas, my favorite city from SA game Still, I would rather have one enormous city with countrysides then 3 way to small watered down cities versions like in SA. I didn't like Los Santos back then that much feeling to flat and small. And I despised San Fierro which felt even worse. But I did like Las Venturas a lot. Anyway, I hope the story will be as EPIC as GTA IV as well Other things besides a great story that should be in the game: - Vigilante. I still hate they took it out TLAD and TBOGT - Vice City FM, the 80's rock - The cheats should be better then IV, similar to SA which probably has the best cheats except not being able to spawn motorbikes. - Drugs Wars from TBOGT. It still is very entertaining to do with cheats and those 2 NPC friends following you. - Planes and parachutes. I miss parachutes a bit in GTA IV after having played TBOGT. The Hydra in SA was GREAT fun in SA. It must come back!

It's not really a bad story persay, but like you said I feel it fell apart after LS and everything else felt like it was just an excuse to give the other 2 cities a reason to be there. If the game was just LS the story would've been so much better IMO. Everytime I see someone say it's "epic" I just can't agree, but I guess there are people who feel that way about GTA IV's story too. I just preferred GTA IV's story to SA's that's all. I do feel confident that GTA V's is going to be interesting.
GR7
For me my worry is not what they will leave out but more what they will have left for future games. I mean there will come a point when they include everything SA had and that was pretty much the perfect GTA game in terms of features i'm not sure if it will happen with V or the game after that but there will come a time when everyone will say what else can rockstar add that will keep future games fresh and interesting. It will be an equally exciting and worrying time when R* is pushed to think of something as big as the jump from 2d-3d that III did. Could it be a fully destructible environment or possibly an online only GTA where a player's story progression can be helped or hindered by other players, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I do feel confident that GTA V's is going to be interesting. I agree that the overall story could have been so much better if it stayed in Los Santos with the gangsta theme. Besides that San Fierro didn't do San Francisco justice being way too small with much to narrow roads and such. The story, the character Zero and the missions especially the infuriating almost game breaking Supply Lines mission sucked hard in San Fierro And then you have the ridiculous over the top super spy missions which feel out of character for the GTA franchise Still, I did like the performance of actor James Woods in that part somewhat SA was simply an over-ambitious game with a potentially great gangsta story which got hijacked after the first act at one third of the game till almost the end by totally different, boring and out of character story nerd Zero/spy theme missions which people might call epic. However, I do really like the planes, cheats and more vehicle variety in general compared to GTA IV. But the story of SA is messy and a joke compared to the EPIC American Dream tale of GTA IV I also think GTA V will be interesting and will keep some of it's grittyness storywise from GTA IV but combined with the "fun factor" from SA and TBOGT
myballsarewrinkly
It looks like they have left this out already from the trailer, but what I've been hoping to see since before GTA IV was released was clothing that moves in the wind, Look at the scene where the plane blows dust over the people picking stuff of the trees, everything is blowing around but their clothes are glued to their skin. Sebor
what would kill it for me is the same thing that killed GTA 4 for me: The lack of action caused by the environment/peds/gangs/law enforcement. GTA 4 was so dull nothing really happened when casually driving around. No pick pockets (gta 3), no car thieves, no drug dealers causing trouble, no armed hookers, no random gang fights, no random car crashes, no random fights among peds, no police battles with gangs/peds, etc, etc It was just way to boring, you were the only one causing havoc in GTA 4. In GTA SA I loved to check the stats of how many people were killed by other peds, in some cases it was very close. So for GTA V I really hope things will get more exciting again on the street and outside of missions.
HeliWolf420
Jack Thompson being named as the lead writer. Not what they could leave out, but thats the only thing that could stop me wanting the game. That's it. It's GTA, I'd be hyped for it if it was set in Antartica. GTA does not fail, even my least favourite game in the series (IV) was amazing. Still, if it doesn't have the Sentinel I'd be pretty pissed off. .Olbricht.
Euphoria. I mean, the people you bump in to on the street IRL, do they stagger like a retard on impact ultimately resulting in death because of excessive staggering? No, I didn't think so. It's not that I don't want Euphoria out, I just don't want my "unique gaming moments" to become an everyday annoyance.
