tejasm
Right, I think that gta v on ps vita would be an amazing idea, with online over 3g and dual.sticks etc
Drake1212
Great, you can think! but try to consider how much computing power it would it take to run GTA V, the PSP Vita would explode.
Death2Drugs
Great, you can think! but try to consider how much computing power it would it take to run GTA V, the PSP Vita would explode. They could use lower quality textures though. Anyway, this should be locked and instead be directed onto the GTA V wishlist...
S1LV3R_W0LF
They said they didn't do SA on PSP because of the map side, just that ... imagine V even on Vita.
Micho86
Well a GTA was sorta confirmed for the vita along with Red Dead on the leaked games list so... Seems likely some sort of GTA game will be released on the Vita... Maybe Vice City again? VCS was the most successful GTA on the PSP. EDIT: Here's the list. K^2
V on Vita? Not going to happen. Not in the same form as it is on major consoles and PC. But a GTA running IV/V engine using either LC or a new city? Yeah. That'll probably happen. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns. ccrogers15
it wont run on psvita. Not possible. Processing power is far too low. But maybe we will see a game with the old gta sa engine on ps vita. GTA SA engine could not be on the psp for the stories due to processing issues so they used the vice city engine. However the psvita would handle the gta sa engine well and we might get a good portable game for once.
Micho86
Yeah I bet it's another GTA set in Vice City. The quality/scope of GTAV could not be matched by the Vita. However, a reinvention of Vice seems possible. EDIT: Need I remind people the Vita dwarfs the PS3 in one or more areas tech wise. After further speculation I think the Vita will receive a GTA III HD remake... Maybe the whole triple pack... legendary724
You guys do realise that in the last 5 years technology has not been on hold right? The PS Vita could run pretty much anything that the ps3 can run, maybe even more. It does stomp on the ps3's face in more than one department... I really dont see GTA V on PS Vita as that much of an impossibility. If it were to happen, it would further concrete my decision to buy one. Micho86
Yeah, but I fear the fact that GTA III is being retrofitted with touch based controls for the iPad2/iPhone4s/Android OS(Ice cream Sandwitch?), practically seals the fate of GTA Vita... Though I hope for the device's future that's not the case.
crapmadgig
They should have GTA: San Andreas Stories for PSVita or if that's just too much West Coast (GTA V, LA Noire, Midnight Club: LA, Original SA...), then have it be set somewhere different. You know the more I think about it, the more I get excited about a different GTA game for Vita, considering its graphics which are between the PS2 and the PS3, it would be awesome. DawidZnawca
I'm sure there will be San Andreas Stories for PSVita. It will be, because OG Loc is too much gangsta.
Slamman
Grand Theft will come to PSVita, but people already think it will be a San An Stories, with GTA 5, not that likely....something else is what I'd wager

Micho86
True. However, I don't believe the rumor of it being San An Stories.... Didn't R* release a video years ago that covered the events of pre GTASA San An? Or was that video specifically about Los Santos?
Slamman
Not anymore, but previously? I think it fair to assume. The PSVita will have two analog controls, and that as well as multi core CPU make it something to behold ...and hopefully obtain!!
Brawly
Maybe San Andreas Stories on Vita but GTA V on vita is hard to believe. lol

tejasm
I would love them to make a gta V spinoff for PSVITA set in a reimagined vice city.the smaller map would be easier for it to handle.perhaps the same era?

I don't agree. Is Rockstar gonna make all of their Vice City games for the PSP/PSVita now? Cuz I was really looking forward to playing it on a console with a bigger map (with Cuba, Bahamas, Orlando, Everglades, and Florida Keys in it). I think they should do a PSVita game in a DIFFERENT location than LC, SA or VC. Perhaps give Carcer City a chance? Or somewhere outside the US? London anyone? timezone34
PS Vita is a handheld gadget that we must not underestimate. Hell, it might even be more powerful than the PS3, considering the PS3's hardware is old while the PS Vita is new. I just don't think it can play GTA V or Rockstar would want to port them. lewiizesto
Im sick of people saying that the vita isnt powerful enough for GTA V! It is powerful enough, all they need to do is cut the details down a bit and on a smaller screen you won't see the difference at all! If vita is powerful enough to power uncharted: golden abyss with has stunning graphics it should and will be good enough for GtA V!!!
Adriaan
If vita is powerful enough to power uncharted: golden abyss with has stunning graphics it should and will be good enough for GtA V!!! Major difference between that type of game and an open world game like GTAV with dynamic deferred lighting, several vehicles, pedestrians calculating all different AI behaviours and not to mention euphoria which uses up a great deal of the processing power! I'm no technical expert to say whether or not GTAV can run on it, I just think there's a major difference technically between these two games. GTAV will be able to run on Vita no doubt if it has OnLive support .
dirtycopVCPD
If GTA does come to Vita than I want it to be an original, full scale 3d game, preferably in a new locale. I'm not interested in a port or some topdown deal like CTW.
SWATsqad™
guys, why has nobody yet mentioned gta iv on the vita? IMHO it would be to most probable outcome. Think of it, the map would easily fit, draw distance wouldn't be a problem because of the high building density and the small map. Technically they would have to take the ps3 version, rewrite/adapt the physics engine, and dumb down the textures A BIT. considering that the vita is powerful, not as feature packed tech wise as a ps3, but it has a smaller screen resolution. really, I'm betting on a remake of gta 4. Think, the ps2 version of vice city and the psp version, they weren't that different, looked the same to me, though the ps2 had much more power than the psp. And rockstar had a history of porting gta games to the playstation portable, and correct me if I'm wrong, but they all looked amazing.
Lock n' Stock
They should make a Vice City game on the Vita. I wish that Vice City Nights games hadn't been fake.
lewiizesto
GTA v will work on the vita, as soon as the vita has a smaller screen, ie smaller screen resolution, it'll work perfectly, so would iv!!!
sublimelabs
If GTA does come to Vita than I want it to be an original, full scale 3d game, preferably in a new locale. I'm not interested in a port or some topdown deal like CTW. If Rockstar did that, they'd be getting complaints for not having the location in the console version, or something similar. And I'd be okay with a new CTW. Still the funnest GTA in years, IMO. That's just me.
