I really hope they appear in multiplayer. Something to counter helicopters, though they won't be quite as effective against people on foot.

Not to be a d*ck or anything but a lot of people were complaining that we were not able to fly planes in IV but now that there is SOME kind of hint that we will have the option to fly planes again in V, people are b*tching about it?....comee onnn. R* is already saying this is going to be the biggest map yet, doesn't that mean BIGGER than San Andreas......If I am rite, than OBVIOUSLY planes would be convenient, SA was huge.....calm down campfires

I agree. In the likely event LS is the only major city I think the map will be big enough to accomodate efficient use of planes.

 

If R* is true to their word and if it's the largest map they've ever made that's more than enough for me to draw a conclusion.

 

Really there only needs to be one major airport and a few smaller ones scattered throughout the countryside.

The fact that there are planes in the trailer doesn't mean sh*t...

Hell for all we know that was just a cut-scene from the beginning of the game when the protag comes to town for the first time (and R* does have a thing for using cut-scenes from only the first couple of missions in their trailers, true fact) and the fighter jet could also JUST be a cutscene...

You see the guy with the boat in the trailer so i reckon LS will be split up to an extent with bridges leading to other parts of the island, i cannot see a GTA that just has one big island it wouldn't really be GTA.
