I dont like that as much as I am very into GTA story and want to see the charecters from previous games. Now, I HOPE that we see charecters like The Truth return, and I did hear that the voice actor of CJ was at Rockstar Studios.. So possible he plays some part in the new game (wich is not hard to believe as Grove Street will no doubt be a landmark.) Toreno's return would be epic.. I agree. I don't understand Rockstar's obsession with giving us characters to get to know and then eventually love, only to take them away forever and say they will never return and they are dead. I think that's BS. I hope they go back on what they said and put in some of these characters. The saddest part is that i think much of the reason they never bring back characters is their voice actors aren't happy. I have seen the voice actor for Roman Bellic say he was paid very very poorly even though GTAIV made a TON of money. So if Rockstar is just being cheap and THAT'S the reason why characters don't come back, I would find that VERY disappointing. Remember Claude returns in GTA:SA? sabbathfan Posted November 5, 2011 Share Posted November 5, 2011 I really wish they'd scrap the idea of ignoring previous characters in these new games. It would be really nice to have the Grove Street gang or the Ballas or whatever. It would also be nice for there to be some reference made to Officer Tenpenny at some point, he was the cause of a massive riot after all. Some references to the past and some old familiar faces turning up would be absolutely brilliant. Maybe hear about some classic OG Loc on the radio. I know Rockstar didn't want to be tied to what came before, but they needn't have been anyway. They were perfectly able to create a new story in IV and not have it revolve around what came before, but chose to cut it out altogether. I think that was one of the worst decisions they made. I was so happy when Ken Rosenberg turned up in San Andreas. To see old characters return in some capacity is fantastic and something to reward the fans for having been with them the whole way. I really do hope they mix up the "eras". I'm not saying bring back Tommy or CJ. By the end of SA the Johnson family was pretty big news. They had thriving businesses, were on the hip-hop scene, etc. There could be some mention of them, even if not particularly CJ. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As far as characters go, Truth was still alive in IV and basically the only character I can think of now who came from the trilogy. Before people ask, he was only on the IV ingame internet, posting various warnings and ideologies on conspiracy sites under the name "Trooth". A lot of other people found it funny, and no, they weren't all white. It's a novelty thread, and the jokes have been made many times prior to. Don't take everything so heavy-hearted. xNewtype Acex Posted November 5, 2011 Share Posted November 5, 2011 Don't know if this has ben mentioned but I'd like to see these throwbacks: -Grove Street, maybe not exactly as in SA, but like a rusty old sign saying Grove Street and sitting below is a guy in a green hoodie smoking a blunt. -Seeing as there's wilderness, some sort of hidden cave in the mountain, this cave should be very deep and hard to find, eventually at the end there should be a sign that says "What where you expecting, Bigfoot?" ad when you turn around to leave Bigfoot attacks you. -Also out on the wild, deep, deep in the forest and only at night there should be a glendale, when you get near it turns on and you can hear some some old school (think 40s-50s song) playing on the car stereo. -A van painted like the Truth's "mothership" on some shack on a pot farm. -Of course, random grafitti referencing San Andreas, "GS 4 LYFE" "Temple Drive Ballas", etc. -A drawing of the pope sh*tting on the woods. -Hobos mumbling about MIBs, Aliens, Area 69, Jetpacks and Green Goo. - Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
