Mr Bubbleguts
Now we all pretty much know Rockstar's release schedule and when they like to release games. Could this be the first time for Rockstar to market a blockbuster title like GTA V with Max Payne 3 together and not effect sales? What are your thoughts and opinions? I think it could work, but I'm also thinking that Rockstar may be under pressure and behind schedule for other releases, like Agent, Bully 2 and RDR 2 for example. Mr Bubbleguts
Not affect sales? If everybody saves their money so they can play GTA V. What do you think wil happen to Max Payne? Well I plan on buying both. They both appeal to me and anything from R* is a day 1 purchase for me, because of quality.

JoeM
I honestly dont think it would affect sales that much. Maybe it's just me though, as I wont be buying MP3 full stop, have no interst in it. The next game I buy will either be SRTT or GTA V, depends how far off V is. If it's in the next 6 months then I will wait, if not then ill wait til SRTT is £20 pre-owned. I would think though that they would be better bringing MP3 out a couple of months before GTA just to catch the few thousand fans that may be torn between 1 or the other. .Olbricht.
I hate to admit it, but V can't come out at the same time at MP3. Like what ^ said, gamers, especially those that rely on their allowance to buy games, will be forced to choose between two titles which I'm sure will cost a lot of money. Personally, I don't care about MP3 because I've never played the series before.

So they have to make a choice. It's better to leave a gap between the releases.

spiderman3000
Maybe giving us a playable demo of Max Payne 3 with GTA IV won't hurt the sales.
Jimbatron
It is hard to say, but in the current economic climate, I wouldn't risk it if I were in Take2's shoes. The Western World is facing sluggish growth, possibly a major recession if things go badly in the Euro zone. Some people may always buy both, but there will always be people strapped for cash who have to make a choice. Their number is probably going to increase. I'd like to hear your thoughts regarding the current economic crisis and how it can affect gaming sales.

The Nihilist
I doubt it's the May release, people think GTAV is going to be. I think it's more likely to be an August - October release.
