I would love to see this developed even more, a sort of "who you know" mechanic in GTA V. What I don't want to see is a messed-up story like it was in GTA: San Andreas. You either take it seriously or you don't, I love "serious" GTA, like 4, and more over the top/movie-like GTA like Vice City, but you either go one way or the other. San Andreas started all serious and moody, with nice missions, meeting the character, developing your gang/family. And then out of nowhere you were in the desert stealing jet planes for "the man", conspiracy theories, war toys fighting and so on. EscoLehGo Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 i DON'T want to see a complete absence of the LA gang scene. i know it was done 7 years ago with grove street but i think there needs to be a continuation of it in some form in gta v, the story doesn't have to revolve around it, it shouldn't actually, but the gang culture of LA should still be a noticeable presence in this upcoming game. I want better car handling as well; in IV at full speed it still took about 200 yards to slow a car down to stop, even with the handbrake. An emergency stop in real life takes like a second. I don't want cars to run out of gas like people suggest either, that would get annoying. And MY God, not having people ringing you up all the time to go eating or drinking or bowling or whatever. Remember in Vice City when you could just mess about and NOT get bothered by people ringing you up to "hang out"? I don't think San Fierro or Las Venturas will be there like some people suggest, and I don't particularly want them either. Los Santos on its own, with surrounding countryside and mountains, seems more than enough. From the trailer, the city alone looks huge as well. In the words of someone else, bitch don't call me I'll call you. So annoying that they'd get mad at you after you ignore their phone calls too. The game can have friends, just let you decide when you want to hang out with them. And if you do hang out with them, give it better sh*t to do. I think skydiving with friends would be fun, or having a bike race with friends, or other activities. Just don't make it up to them when they want to hang, because it's way too often. "Mof*cka I'm killing pigeons, I don't have time for your sh*t." Also no gas. Making us stop to put gas in cars is wayyyyy too realistic. I like the games realistic to an extent, like having realistic cop cars and whatnot, but having to stop and put actual gas in cars would not be cool, especially if you were in a high speed chase. "timeout, timeout cops, I gotta stop and get gas." Also the mafia angle is a bit overplayed. You could have them in the game, but don't make it a big part of the storyline. Also no dating. See friends ^A lot of kids these days want pixelated boobies, but not me. Real boobies >>>>>>>>>> pixelated boobies. And this last one might sound a little weird, but this is things we don't want in the game right? I feel like the rags-to-riches storyline is a bit played. It'd be a nice change to have one of the main characters start off rich, have a nice house, car, etc. and then experience a major swing of events where his life is turned upside down and he's forced to do GTA-esque things to earn back his nice lifestyle. Seriously...you needed an account in GFWL, an account in R* games social club, and then you had to link them. Not to mention you had to be logged in to play online. Meanwhile pirates could just ignore the 2 things and play the game.
