In SA we where only able to use them as transport not to hijack them n stuff. I can remeber that they cut it out the last ones because it was still to close to 9/11 and they felt it would be insensitive to put it in. There's a beast at the airport of Las Venturas in a garage you have to wait for the roller doors to open. Should they remove guns because of Columbine High? Should they remove the ocean because of the tsunami? Remove all ground, because of the recent earthquakes in Japan? R* would have their hands overfilled trying to link "Realism" with "Stealing a Huge Fu*king Jet, Bitch!". I hope I'm wrong however. The A380 can feature as the AT1000. Multiplayer Rustler dogfights are where it's at. you remember this in San Andreas right? its the same size plane as the ones used to pay to fly between cities. Slamman Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 It wasn't impossible, I completed the schools in SA, you NOOBS! There are harder things tasked, take GTA3 for example! As for the large airplanes, I think there was one shown in the trailer, IIRC, but mostly smaller craft, it bothered me the dirigible (blimp) was only shown in the same spot as Vice City, the same pattern that suggested you couldn't do anything with it. I had thought, however, you could crash into it, and it might re-spawn, or that it was all at a specific time of day, just not sure on that, it's very odd Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yeah, the flying school was crap, it was lucky the other two schools weren't obligatory because what you learnt on the flying one was useless. I disagree. Don't get me wrong, the schools were all too hard and I SUCKED at flying and therefore, HATED those mission, but they legitimately DID teach me what I needed to know to play the flying missions. When I started I couldn't even do the first flying school lesson, it took me forever, but then I ended up so good that I did N.O.E., which some people say is one of the very hardest and most frustrating missions, on my very first try. And I went from a person who HATED flying the planes to a person that would actively drive to the airport to FIND a plane to fly to my destination. ANY time I went from LS to SF or LV or something, I'd take a plane. So the flying school DID help me TREMENDOUSLY although the fact that it is MANDATORY destroyed me. I was stuck on that part for literally YEARS and thought I would never get to finish the game, but finally I got the hang of it and I know I wouldn't have if I had been doing it on my own instead of using the flying school. UMMMMMMM, sorry but 9/11 had nothing to do with the omission of planes from GTA IV. They left out planes because it didn't make sense to have planes when there was only one city with one airport. Just doesn't make me think that would be untrue, automatically.
