Bomberlegend
That the people at R* are gamers, just like ourselves. They sorta have a feel about they would want to see in a game, and it is just like us. I am sure that they also have an attachment to one main character, not five as some people are stating. Like I am sure they want to have the chance to go to LV and gamble all that money they have earned by killing a few mobsters. Please, in all of this, have some faith in R*. They have not let us down before, why would they start doing it now?

Barguast
They're gamers yes, but they're also script writers, designers, graphics artists, etc. I'm sure they want to design a game that they'd want to play, but foremost I'd say they want to tell a story, present their city, and make it their own. Let's take San Andreas for example - a central theme was the rise and rise of CJ, escaping Los Santos, making it in San Fierro, and playing hard in Las Venturas before returning to Los Santos once he realised he couldn't escape his past. All elements and features of SA centred around this story, they weren't all just thrown in for fun. So basically if the story doesn't require Las Venturas and the protagonist to have a similar 'rising through the ranks' journey then it might not be there at all. I didn't especially get this feeling from the trailer to be honest.

They have been letting this community down since I was the size of a peanut.

GuantanamoObama
With GTA IV, they sort of let us down to delay the release with 6 months :-) I wouldn't say that's letting down, more delaying the excitement. GTA IV was a let down. Was it exciting and fun for the first few weeks? Yes. After awhile, it had nothing. They stripped so much away, and it was overall a downgrade from SA. You couldn't get tattoos, work out, fly planes (which makes sense, the map wasn't big enough now that I think about it), buy vehicles, buy homes, get haircuts, ETC. the list goes on. Hoping this isn't the case for V.
