So as we all know, the trailer has been out which showed Los Santos once again .

 

And in this trailer we all saw the "2405" reference once again. There are many things pointing out to 24th May.

 

- In the trailer we see 2405 at the sidewalk = 24th May

- The song in the trailer came 24th May 1968 = 24th May

- "8 par 3" sing in the trailer: 8*3 - 24, 8-3 - 5 = 24th May

- At the end of TBOGT it said "24051972 LJK" = 24th May

- In a gtaforum topic (where is the blue?) someone made a "clue" thread about V, he wrote "1102" and "204". 1102 the trailer was shown, and 204 days after November 2nd =  24th May

You know, I've been very skeptical of the 2405 thing. I mean, the tail number actually states 24051972. Sam Houser was born in 1972, so everyone figures it's just an Easter egg. And that could also be the reason for the choice of Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake for the song and all of the numerical references in the trailer.

 

But the 1102 + 204... I do remember these numbers... That's been around for very, very long time. Months before the announcement. And May 24th IS exactly 204 days following November 2nd. (I got 203 until I realized that 2012 is a leap year.) So suppose the 24051972 really was just an Easter egg. No reason why they can't chose the same date for something else for the same reason. I wouldn't jump to a conclusion that it's necessarily the release date. It's not impossible. First trailer for IV came out about the same amount of time prior to original scheduled release of the game. But I don't think it has to be that.

 

Regardless of what it is, though, I'm now convinced that May 24th is a date to watch forward to.

For the record, the odds of two dates matching up by accident are roughly one in 130,000. Even if we adjust for permutations (1102 vs 0211 etc) we are looking at astronomical odds here. This is not accidental. Whoever posted this knew two dates. 2nd of November and 24th of May. They might not have known much else, but both of these had to be known. First turned out to be trailer release. It's safe to assume second will be V-related as well.

I think the trailer gets over analysed.

Small random things are interpreted as big clues.

Other hints like 204 and 5 protagonists are under speculation right now, and if they turned out to be true, then this would confirm that they had more previous knowledge. I also remember a topic one of the admins posted in GTA V section but it was removed to gaming section, which was about the journey in Los Angeles that Rockstar arranged for an L.A.Noire competition. He intentionally posted pictures from the journey in GTA V section, and at the end of the topic he posted this sly icon ( ), like if he said that it's LA for GTA V.

 

It's not a surprise really, because this is the biggest GTA community on the internet, so Rockstar can use it for hints, marketing, or anything else they want without letting us know that they are in charge directly or indirectly, which is the case with the level designer, Chevy Chase. Now we got GTA V announcement, but I also have known that Rockstar has this community under their eyes, and high profile admins are their agents.

Ya I remember that. It was fun during Genesis days when I used to dig all the past threads for clues. That admin was illspirit, the same admin who congratulated Hurrikane saying that he found the blue.

Hurrikane had found a resume saying 2011 as announcement date and the site had the Agent screenshots as well. They are the only screenshots we have of Agent on the whole www. I am tired of pointing this out again and again. No one takes interest but I know that the admins have always been up to something. Really.

GTA5 doesnt need a teaser trailer (there was one of MP3 on March 2009 i think), because the last one was out only 3 years before...

It isnt like Max Payne or Deus Ex for example which was out many many years ago so they need a teaser...

 

On the other hand, the first trailer of MP3 contained an official RD, GTA V didnt...

 

I have the feeling they hope for 24 May, but they are not sure...

Here, a person named Deepthroatgta4 gave us the location of GTA IV before the trailer itself was released. He earned credibility.

 

Then came, Where is the Blue?

Here, admins changed the logo of GTAV.net with different places inside the V logos. Some logos contained codes when opened with notepad.

The poll which is being talked about was a part of this event.

 

Lastly came, Genesis.

Here, the credible guy came back with a bang. Posted a pic. The pic contained a tree and a road, the tree and the road were once a part of one of the V logo uploaded by admins during WiTB.

 

Now his credibility makes me believe that WiTB/Genesis was not just a hoax. Things will come up gradually.

just looking at the trailer, at the end where it shows the city and the "Grand Theft Auto V" logo, you can see where the city ends and meets the water just right of the logo ( i can see this because the lights dissapear beond the costal road) and to me it only seems about the size of 1 to 1 1/2 the size of the Iv islands, surely that cant just be it.

 

this is asuming that the POV is behind the city but it does seem to have the downtown area included and thats pretty far away from the ocean

 

what do you guys think?
