mubd
A tip - people voting for MA15+ are under 18, people voting for R18+ are 18 or over.

skillz7855
Well this better not effect the American version Being M 17+ this better only effect the countries who don't have M 17+.
GuantanamoObama
I'm American, so I don't care. ESRB FTW. Well, if ESRB sticks V with AO, MS and Sony will refuse to license it for their consoles. There is no government censorship, but it still doesn't mean that developers can do whatever they want if they want the game to sell. On the other hand, AO rating would require a pretty major slip-up on R*'s part. *cough*hot coffee*cough* So it's very unlikely that this will be even an issue. Every GTA has been M (17+). SA was AO for a little bit because of Hot Coffee, but they fixed that and got the M rating. As long as it doesn't have sex scenes, it won't be AO. What I don't get is how RDR got M when they had that scene of the Mexican guy f*cking that Mexican chick at the end of the Mexico missions. kudoboi
honestly weather R18 or MA15 it doesnt matter.. those who cant get the game will just get it via steam or ask their parents to buy for them.. i did that too :

Jyak
For Rockstar's sake, MA15+ because they'll earn a lot more money that way. For our sake, R18+ (And for us Australians, can't even get an R18+ yet... lets just hope it doesn't get banned by the c*nts that want it banned already, before it's even out.) edit: and if our c*nty government decides to ban the game, I will be forced to pirate Prohibition is useless in this day and age! And to the people talking about having MA15+ because our Oz laws are still F*cked, I agree. Edited November 5, 2011 by Jyak

Rock Howard
R18 as usual. Nah, not as usual where he's from. Here in Australia we have only fairly recently had an R18+ rating introduced for games. All previous GTA Australian releases have been MA15+ and had some things cut. Anyway to answer the question I would imagine it would have to fall into the R18+ category in our rating system and that's what we want so we get the game we are supposed to get and not a pussified, sanitised copy with sh*t cut out. Ultim8 Z0mb13
If this game gets R, I'll freaking spew. Look at the blood: That's not R rated blood. Max Payne 3 got MA with no troubles, so if GTAV gets R the board is just being soft. I am 16 so I'm not exactly a "little annoying 12 year old" who will ruin the online experience for the rest of you. And god damn, I'll decide what I'm mature enough to play, not some fat suit in a board room. The entire rating system has gone to hell since the R rating came about. I mean, seriously, did anyone here notice Killzone: Mercenary got R? (At least according to retailers, the OFLC site does not have Merc. listed). R should be the fine china you get out when the Queen comes to visit, the thing you only use in insane circumstances, not the cheap beer you drink every weekend. Getting real tired of this. Moth
I would love it if this game got banned in Australia. It would make me ROFLMFAO! Don't say that to us..... P.S: Look at my flag. Why not? If the game gets banned, it just further proves that your government sucks. The fact that a game can still be refused an R18 rating, cause it has drugs or other things is f*cking stupid. If a high profile game like GTA V gets refused classification, it gives a very good example how broken your rating system is. Imagine the backlash from retailers having to return all of that money. Enough is a f*cking enough. The government should not be able to dictate what an adult can and can not watch. And f*ck the kids, they aren't important in this class. If they get their hands on it, it's the parents problem, not the government. Formerly known as The General

B7R
I would love it if this game got banned in Australia. It would make me ROFLMFAO! Why the F*** Do you have to rip off our Country, I would Laugh my Bottom off if Rockstar forgort to release it in your Country, Now Shut the F*** Up and leave Our country alone. Ontopic, Most likely R18. My money is on the R18 Bet, But I bet i will still be playing with 12 year olds playing Hello Shtty kitty Music.
mrsurferdude
the issue is not the rating, i'm from Brasil living in the USA and in both places the issue of kids playing the game is parents being sacks of sh*t. I have kids and guess what i have my kid drive like crazy and do stupid things in Iv but when he asks me to go all out and play it i explain why he needs to be supervised by me and that the whole shooting each other thing is a MAJOR red flag. My kid usually gives up and go for another game. It is not that difficult to keep an eye on your damned kid.

If the game does get tonned down, Then wait for R* to release a patch to add all of the Fun back in, I will Scream my head off if the ACB cuts anything Funny, Or awesome out just because they can't take a joke. By the way, One of the people who run the ACB is Donald McDonald, He is the head of the ACB, Somebody should get him fired.

Fail_At_GTA
I'm American, so I don't care. ESRB FTW. It affects everyone, as Australians play on the same servers as Americans. Anyway, I would much rather the game have the highest rating possible so theres less chance of hearing annoying screaming kids. I was playing GTA 4 today and there was literally a 9 year old playing, so I killed him over and over for 2 hours until he left. Hopefully I made one kid hate GTA, which means one less kid to run in to.
