Fireboyd78
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet, but it would appear that some GTA IV era wheels are being reused with of course the addition of new ones. An example off the top of my head is that Pontiac Firebird in front of the liquor store, the supposed "Phoenix" most of us have speculated about. The wheel model is the one you find on commercial vehicles and the tampa (right?) in GTA IV. What is your guys' opinion on this? Was it a good move along with bringing back some IV era cars? Would you have preferred some new wheels, or are the IV era ones satisfactory? Personally, I like the idea of reusing old ones. There was nothing wrong with them
D T
I don't mind it at all, however, they will probably be replaced with new ones before release.
Majestic123
It doesn't matter cause it saves alot of time. And Im pretty sure nobody notices.
MajorVienna
The tires/tyres need an upgrade, still look like crap.

Vegetarian Piranha
it wouldnt bother me too much i just hate how there are "session times" for cars for eg. everybody will be driving the same 3 cars/trucks for 15mins then it changes.
Turin88
We're still in the IV era...
darkplague
i think they should imitate real life. different size tires on a compact vs a full size and different appearance tires ona Pontiac vs. a Ford
Fuzzknuckles
Doesn't bother me at all. I don't play for the wheels. Signatures are dumb anyway.

JoshGTAfreak
To me, it doesn't really matter. Plus, I think we might be still in the same canon as GTA IV, so it wouldn't really make sense to have them different.

Slamman
That's not a Pontiac Firebird or Camaro, as far as my owning a 3rd Gen Firebird, it's too much a hybrid design, compared to what we've seen before. I would say, there's a peculiar level of art missing on that shot, but the sunset's cool, the peds (Hookers in that one) look alright so there's at least some balance. I thought you meant the "rims"? 2nd gen is 70s era F-Cars Late 80s added for comparison, love 'em! Edited November 4, 2011 by Slamman

buzbegone
They've being reusing wheels since Vice City for early trailers and screenshots long before the game has been complete. Not a big surprise.
Slamman
When you used the custom garages in original San An, the wheel choices were not exciting if you ask me, and this time, I hope there are custom options, flamed paint, some nice exhaust, make the AUTO part of GTA important as it should be, but not all encompassing Remember the nice blown V8s? Here and there, You could also see out from behind the wheel in multiple viewing options while playing GTA, here's what the Real Deal looks like, however, nice! mrmojo_prime
Seems there is a topic for everything I don't have that much of a problem with Rockstar reusing wheel/tire models, I'm hoping for rim and whole vehicle customization in GTA V. There has to be Car customization it's Rockstars take on California and Los angeles, just wont feel like the Californian lifestyle we all wish we had if there is no car mods. Slamman
I just hate suggesting the same features we've had in San An in particular, but those Mod Garages seemed in keeping with the GTA spirit
