Hope not anyway, that would be recycling a gangsta theme that clearly doesn't apply to the new story. GTA SA took place around 1991, the high of west coast gangsta rap. The people staying there would merely be squatters, perhaps a shadow of the old gang, with only one person that was in the Grove Street Families. I think the street itself would already be an easter egg, but I know what you mean. Maybe we'll find an easter egg somewhere in the neighborhood. acmilano Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 They change Leones,Forellis and Sindaccos in IV with Ancelottis,Pavanos etc.So instead of GSF and Ballas we will get some new gangs like Corpses(Crips) and Sanguis(Bloods).And instead of Groove street it will be more real-life counterpart of Compton. ricky18 Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 i would be shocked if you never met a character who gave you a big rundown of what happened to grove street, maybe related to a mission you have, and your given the backround of the area your going to, and the guy tells you how this place used to be, tells u about the gangs and sh*t, just so u can reminice a little lol, would be nice, surely it has to be referenced in some way? Yeah there is always a reference of some sort! Like the VC figurines in SA in the RC shop. I know there is probably a lot more references throughout the series but that just springs to mind! GTAV doesnt seem to be a recreation of SA, not one bit. Its just LA or LS completelly recreated, not redone. That big ass building needs to be there. etc. They exist in real life. Grove Street? Doesn't need to be there. It was relevant to SA, now it's not. So it won't be there. At most they could make a street that looks like it but then, "OMG R* sucks they got grove st. all wrong cry cry cry whine whine whine." the new Liberty City only had the same name, but where was Claude's house? Where was Portland? Where was the stadium? Where was Donald Love's buuilding? Get it? Isn't this the Jefferson Motel? Seems much less important than Grove street. I have seen many random buildings which were not important to SA, but they still appeared in the trailer. I don't understand why not to put Grove street in? It was a very important part of Los Santos in that era. A street can't last 20 years? Last i checked it was far from the main city so likely not effected by construction. No. It's not. Go play San Andreas again. Some buildings look like SA's because they exist in real life. Jeezus. And no Grove st was not affected by construction because this isn't the old LS. Rockstar said in an interview that the old characters from GTA III era are NOT returning. GTA IV was the beginning of a new era. I remember the question being asked awhile ago on GTAgaming when they addressed that Vic was the one who was killed in the beginning of Vice City. When we last left them, CJ was on top of the world and Sweet is right there with him. And Sweet is Grove 4 Life. I agree. I think GSF will definately still be there, probably bigger and stronger than ever. However I feel like there will also be plenty of new gangs and some of them will be gangs that have formed by branching off of others, like new Balls gangs and new GSF gangs.
