What ever Rockstar is gonna do, they will do it with passion and a no-slack attitude. How can you already say what their doing wrong when you don't even know how the game will turn? They will take stuff out, and stuff in, readjust things. So until the day you play the game for the first time, leave your criticism out of it. Maybe because Texas has more avenues to explore outside of GTA. It's the home of the Wild-West, after all, and wasn't RDR set in Texas? I think it was, didn't play it though... Off-Topic: I'd like to see a real rust-belt state sandbox game by R*... Something like Manhunt 1, but in an open world. Like a 1950's rust-belt state sandbox game, focusing on the pursuit of a psychotic (but extremely intelligent) murderer and his journey to literally f*ck up the world. That'd be the sh*t, IMO. The way I understand this game so far is there will be no other major cities, which actually excites me. I'd rather see one well done city than three half assed ones. Not saying that SA was half assed, but focussing on one alone can offer so much more. People speculating about the game isn't so bad, gives me something to look at while I wait for the next trailer, but seeing the same tommy and CJ stuff over and over can be quite annoying to say the least. Ah well, I'm sure the majority of people on the boards wont see your post and continue to complain about what they don't know about and wish for things that are unlikely. They'd leave the SA part out completely. If you ask me they have only confirmed that LS is in the game and everything else is up for grabs. And I'm sure they're fully aware of the uproar their decisions have caused this year.. Personally, I'm pumped for this game. People are being really selfish and not giving Rockstar a chance. After just one trailer and a couple announcements some of you have lost all hope. Rockstar NEVER had those plans, there was no such thing. GTA 1: Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas. GTA 1 Expansion Packs: GTA London 1969 and GTA London 1961. GTA 2: Anywhere USA, they CLEARLY didn't "follow the logic", so that means... Ring a Ding Ding Ding Dong... It never Existed. Looking at The London Expansion packs and GTA 2, if they would have "Followed the Logic" or as some GTA fans say, the "order" or Liberty City to Vice City to San Andreas, then the Expansion packs would have been Liberty City and Vice City, with GTA 2 being San Andreas, but... NO that didn't happen, The Expansion packs were based in LONDON and GTA was in some place called "Anywhere USA" They CLEARLY didn't "follow the logic" there. so that means The Logic or the "order" of location... Ring a Ding Ding Ding Dong... never Existed. Forget about the order, why did people think there was gonna be an order? because GTA III and GTA IV used Liberty City? so they thought the next game after IV would be in Vice City because the game after GTA III was in Vice City... The Logic is stupid. it was a desperate prediction that was just a hope, not an actual thought out, LOGICAL prediction. There isn't a Logic to the order in the cities, and there should never be one. why just go, Liberty City to Vice City to San Andreas OVER and OVER again? that is just being stuck in the past, and not allowing something creative and NEW in location. The problem is that everyone here has fond memories of playing San Andreas. Me personally, I loved Las Venturas. When R* showed that the new game was set in LS people automatically started thinking those old, happy thoughts. And then when R* told us they were abandoning the rest of the state to focus on thug-happy Los Crapos, quite a few people (myself included) were pissed. Will we still buy it? Hell yes! But were going to be wishing for a highway to heaven every second. Ohh my bad lol and i think that the other city's are great, but IMO having a new setting would be better im positive that this los santos is going to be way way way wayyyyy diffrent then the old one L.A is an amazing city they just made it look crapy in San andreas Vice city is a joke is the mc going to be getting tan and having a circle jerk in hawaiian tshirts? Liberty city was pretty boring SF was cool Los santos was crud in SA but i think if they spent 4 years on it it would be amazing I was stationed at 29Palms so I spent some time in LA. Lets just say I wasnt a big fan. But Vegas! Oh yeah! If they were going to focus on one city - why couldnt it be Las Venturas?! *grumbles* Damn hip-hop bullsh*t Los Crapos! I liked LV, but I liked a little of it not a lot I think a whole game based on a city were people go just to play poker is a terrible idea if it was a little portion of the map it would be cool though I hear you, but IMO if they only do los Santos for V, then there is a VERY good chance that the next gtas could purley focous on L.V or SF, which I think will be better in the long run. The only place that says San Andreas are the license plates and you know why? BECAUSE LICENSE PLATES STATE THE STATE THAT THAT CAR IS REGISTERED IN! DUH! Seriously f*ck you people who hold on to the mantra of "Oh, it must contain one than more cities/counties. Why would Rockstar do such a thing! GTA:SA had three cities, it would ruin the game if it had any less" Seriously, f*ck you guys. And yes, I maaaay be wrong, I know this but I go with the information we have now. It's called logic. Rockstar released a statement saying we head to Los Santos and surrounding areas. They also mentioned Southern California. Does that mean we'll get a representation of Anaheim and San Diego?
