lols1234
Hear me out.... I believe we'll get multiple characters for the "V" Era with DLC, however... the main game cannot and should not have multiple characters. GTA has always been story driven. A diversion to multiple perspectives would deter from the story. Save any other protagonists for DLC. Say no to multiple Character Arc.... this isn't a novel. Your views? jynxdays
I agree. One protagonist to play it all
OGCFB
I disagree all they have to do is seperate the stories with some crossover/relation it would be cool having to replay the game as 2 or more characters to get all the angles of the story. Brawly
I think R* done multiple protagonists to please everyone and to create racial diversity, white guy, hispanic guy, black guy etc. Which keeps everyone happy. R* are experts at this it will not ruin the game they will make it work.

sgn12345
One protagonist and one protagonist only. It's always been this way in the 3D GTA era and it should stay this way.
Tomern11
I agree also. Although i wouldn't be using the word "ruin", but i agree with the argument. I prefer one character per game.
sabbathfan
It wouldn't ruin the story. Any story can have more than one protagonist and work perfectly well. It may ruin the immersion though. It may serve only to remind you that you are playing a game if you have to keep jumping from one body to another as you play. Especially if they have different physical attributes like speed, strength, etc.

This Remember enter the matrix? Yeah well I think GTA V should do the same let you choose a character then experience a full story for that character then if you want to experience the other characters just select a new character next time you load up the disk or select new game. Gomack
R* are experts at this it will not ruin the game they will make it work. This. Has R* ever let us down? No matter how this turns out you're going to love the sh*t out of this game and play it for 100++ hours. ^ And if you answered yes because of IV, gtfo. The_Mario_Man
Multiple protagonists within the same story seems like an interesting idea. It also opens up a lot of doors for cooperative play. I'm not going to call it a good or bad thing until I've actually friggen played it.
phs1234
Countless revered novels and movies have utilized multiple viewpoints to create a single story. It would certainly be a move away from traditional GTA-style gameplay, but history has shown us that it certainly works.
mobile
I trust R*. If we'll have multiple characters (and I believe we will), the story should be central and the protags would coming and going in a combination of players choice and plot related missions. We can speculate like hell but the truth is that when the game is ready and released, we'll play it like kids in a sandbox.

It's GTA by R*. They make the best f-ing games around. If they think multiple characters is the way to go, I'm sure it will kick ass. Why does nobody here trust R* to make a great game??? How long have you all been doing this? EDIT: Ever seen the movie Crash, or Magnolia? Both set in LA, both with multiple characters/story-lines converging in the end. OGCFB
I think switching to multiple protags throughout the story would be bad and hard to follow... "Wait I was playing as one guy then another is this guy the one who has a sick brother or was that one of the other two guys" However having each selectable protag with their own story path but with crossover and relation to the others would be epic like EFLC ON STEROIDS.
