Rockstar could give them a background, a name, etc. and we get to create what they look like... That would be amazing. Because when you think about it, in the first GTA IV trailer we knew exactly who we were... So I'm thinking create a character or multiply MC's. Maybe there will not only be multiple characters, but also multiple stories? It would take a ton of work to write all of that but who knows. I like that idea. The creating your own character (like Commander Shepard idea) sounds interesting as well, but doesn't seem like GTA and I doubt it would happen. But I wouldn't mind.
