The only rumor with any truth to it so far is the one that came from 4chan. He nailed everything so far. All we know about the players character is his voice. Anonymous said the players character would be hispanic and the voice in the trailer is clearly hispanic. No, 4chan was just a kid who was very wrong. He said it will be in San Andreas and LS, SF and LV are going to be back, but here we go, there's only LS. That proves that he was absolutely wrong and he just wrote a random fake features that obviously will feature after limited GTA IV's. Adrian will not feature, but I'm sure car modifications are going back too, like this guy "predicted", since it was a big miss in IV. Did Rockstar say V was going to be only LS or are you just assuming its only LS because that's all they showed in the first trailer? The license plates on all the vehicles in that trailer clearly say "San Andreas" so unless Rockstar has come out and said this version of SA will be just LS than anonymous is still correct. Does anyone think all of these 5 protagonists are all very rich men who ended up poor? Just look at that middle aged guy he seems like a wealthy guy and is probably losing money fast and Jerry was also rich and is now seen to be homeless again. I think they are sick of the recession and have turned to robbing again because they are getting desperate for money. I think greed will be a key theme in GTA V. The old white guy is probably the mastermind while the others are people he gathers. Like for instance when it shows the black guy running he probably just fleed from jail.( look closely at his leg as some sort of device is on it) And Jerry is probably recruited cause he's good with stealing. Anybody think this is the right direction? Edit: looking at other comments I think the heist are triggered from the recession Edit 2: The hispanic guy is probably either a driver or a supplier of cars. I think im getting very close!! No but what if instead of just CJ you would have also got to have seen what was going on behind the scenes of say Tenpenny he was making all kinds of deals with bad guys I played the Tenpenny stories mod for SA and it was pretty cool for example... Or something like Ocean's 11, group of guys where anybody's specialized in something. For example I don't think Protagonist No 3 is a great at controling the plane. But I think Protagonist No 1 will be good at it. That's realistic. But I also think the multi-protagonist thing story-wise will work like the PS3 game Heavy Rain. Don't you think? What a cool playable character he would be... Anyway, the thing that makes me think he's one of the protagonists is the way they show him in the trailer. At the time he's on the screen, narrator says: "Thought I'd be a dad like all the other dad's. My kids, will be like the kids on TV, we play ball and sit in the sun [...]". This line perfectly describes that black man. He dodges the fat black man standing on the street in white shirt by waving gently his hand as a sign that he refuses some cool thing that will offer that fat dude. He looks like a fresh father and he might had a crazy past in his young times. I died laughing right there. Nobody but the main character ever gives a speech like that in a GTA trailer so there is a very high likelihood 4chan was also right about the the main character being Hispanic. It matched the vest man being chased by cops, and more importantly, he's in the DRIVER'S seat i think. So i think we can choose our protag. In this mission they all are involved and in one play though we're this guy, in another we're black haired guy.... EDIT - this vest guy could be either guy actually, probable the red car driver, as the man being chased by cops doesn't look good enough for a protag.... The driver looks exactly like protagonist number 1 for me. But thanks, I didn't noticed it. Thank you for noticing that man Great find! In Gta, they always have you driving someone around. I didn't search for a teaser site yet for that jewelry store, it's just to early for any teaser sites to be online (if there will be any at all). But, as always, it could be, that this logo of the jewelry store (you can see it at the windows, looks like a outlined golden diamond ring with the jewelry store name below it) they are robbing has a real life counterpart (in german i would say "Vorbild", which means, that this logo used in-game is based on a real life logo, but altered in a R* typical way, like "Pizza Hut" becomes "Pizza This..." for example). Ok, so in this important Van Scene we see 4 major charakters that will appear in the game and will play an important role throughout the storyline. So at this point, i would say, it could be possible, that we will control one of them and the other 3 will be NPC's (KI controlled characters) which are part of the story, for example like a "boss" or a mission "giver" or "dirty business" partner or an accomplice and so on. So, now look at that moment where all 4 are visible in that scene. (1) The black driver (in the driver seat) with the white shirt is the guy which is chased/hunted by the cops, before the end of the trailer. (2) The guy on the left is the one at the beginning of the trailer in the red cabrio sportscar, who watches the young lady crossing the street. Why he? And not the guy from the end of the trailer? Because: just look at the tattoos and you will know the answer. (3) The guy in the middle is the poor bum you see holding a paperboard sign near the end of the trailer. Which most say is Jerry Kapowitz. (4) And finally the guy on the right is the one you see overlooking Los Santos in the mid of the trailer. So that's it. They are definitively important for the storyline. Which one the controllable will be, i don't know yet. And to answer that question with the "moving thing" in the background in the scene with the poor bum. I think that it IS the hobo from GTA IV. What tied the episodes together in GTA IV? diamonds. Who got the diamonds? Jerry - at the very end of TBOGT. I think GTA V is an indirect sequel to GTA IV, the only carry over is this hobo who got the diamonds. The diamonds turns into money - LOTS of money and that's what we have at the start of GTA V - the money made from selling the diamonds. The narrator is the old guy imo. The latino guy. The older guy. Just because they were shown in the trailer does not mean they are protagonists or even main characters. The guy on the Jet skii could be from an in game tv show for all you know. The black guy looks like a normal person just running from the cops (i suspect the AI in GTA V will be amazing). The latino guy seems to be an important character but he looks too soft/quiet for a GTA game. The only likely person is the older guy who people say could be Tommy (highly unlikely). If you watch the 1st trailer of GTA SA, you will see many main charters shown and CJ only got a little more camera time then them. The older guy was shown the most, stood out from the rest AND was talking throughout the trailer. He is the only person you can logically assume is the protagonist. You can not make a case for any of the other guys shown, yet. Might aswell claim the guy getting pushed to the ground is the protagonist. I don't doubt he's tough..I'm just saying looking at him, he doesn't let off an aggressive feeling whereas with Niko you could see the guy could kill multiple times without showing any emotion. the shape Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 i think there will be multiple trailers too, each one from another character's perspective and somehow they'll all connect. also... to anyone who read the 4chan or whatever, he said the main character would die. now while there were suggestions of multiple chars and now the main char dies. i think its ironic to note that the when the main char supposedly dies, his brother inherits all his money. could the homeless guy be his brother? this is just speculation, but if the homeless does play a role in the game, like the poster of this thread suggests, then it could make sense to assume that. just my opinion...
