Ex.: -GTA San Andreas: Ken Rosenberg returned, and in a mission he once said "Just like old times, Tommy!" (referring to Tommy Vercetti, Vice City), CJ replied "Who the f*ck is Tommy?!"; Another one that was less subtle was III's protag's reappearance with Claude Speed. -GTA IV: We see in a billboard somewhere, CJ, women and cash a big thing in the sign. He's likely either living it up in LC, or a rich guy we'll never meet or truly see in V. -GTA IV LAD and BOGT: Both crossing over with each other and IV, Niko, Johnny, and Luis appeared somewhere in each's plotline. Along with that, of course, would be the CJ billboard easter egg which had to return since all their maps had to be correspondent to IV's since they were added as DLC, rather than how SA and VC were (entirely new games added to the III era). -GTA V: What will see? Niko, Johnny, Luis on billboards or wanted pictures, maybe something of Patrick or the rest of his family. We may (most likely actually) see CJ again, a similar billboard to what we saw in IV with maybe some text. We may even see CJ in the end of the game, maybe Sweet, maybe someone else we used to know. San andreas was all about "gang bangers and cops" (aren't they all technically gangbangers anyway?) So I wouldn't mind seeing him come back though I doubt he will. Hell, I don't think anyone could've really related to Niko other than his hypocrisy. Also the McReary family was a small, yet important part to GTA IV. And wouldn't they all be considered "gang-bangers?" I also believe that every GTA had cops in them and from this new trailer it looks like they're back. If Niko has a small role in this next one would you immediately shut off your console or PC and go out and protest at your local game retailer??? I didn't care much for CJ because I felt he was a flat character that was simply stereotyped.... But I think it would be awesome if he made a return and was at the very top. If you look back on history, you have never taken missions from protagonists that are in other Grand Theft Auto games (with the exception of GTA: Liberty City Stories and the two Grand Theft Auto IV episodes) - infact, they have never really played a large role in any other Grand Theft Auto game other then the game that you play as them in (again, with exception to GTA: Liberty City Stories and the GTA IV DLC). It'd be pretty crazy if Michael Hollick and R* settled there differences and Niko came back as the main antagonist lol, but thats unlikely. It's perfectly possible that his story could continue is some form in GTA V. Well Niko just had a very unique and interesting story as this protagonist seems to have aswell. I think R* will try to shy away from heavy gangbanger influenced gameplay for three reasons. 1. They already did that to the fullest extent on SA. 2. That's all saints row is about and it has kind of made that style a joke. and 3. This is MODERN day lol gangbangers are f*ckin oldschool now. Thuggin isn't as glamorized as it used to be. The crips and bloods are laughable at this point, same with the ms-13. just a bunch of ignorant jokers.
