Fireboyd78
Alright, I wanted to address something here. We will be playing in "Los Santos and the surrounding areas", so what do you think that means? Does this mean we will see places like Anaheim being interpreted? They even mentioned Southern California, and to be honest, SC is pretty ****ing huge. Who cares if we don't have San Francisco? It takes ~3 - 4 hours to get there from where I live, and that's way up in Northern California. On the way there, there's TONS of scenic landscape and beaches and farm crops. I don't seem to have much structure to this thread, but basically, to anyone out there bitching about it only being "Southern California" with no San Fierro or Las Venturas; cheer up! Southern California is a great place to live, it's got multiple airports (obviously) and has some great landscapes and freeways. Personally, I live in the Inland Empire, but I have no idea if GTA V will spread out that far. I heard it's the biggest GTA to date, so it must be pretty ****ing big. Fireboyd78
I'll only bump this once. Just to see if anyone is truly interested.
Tomern11
Southern California might actually be that Los Puerta from the trailer, with additional countryside turf. Anyway, i don't believe that it will have the biggest map so far ( i don't really see how it can be bigger than SA), i rather interpreting it as in their biggest project to date, along with the enhanced graphics, gameplay and so on. OnlySurvivor
skillz7855 posted this pretty accurate picture on what to expect: San Bernardino County = Brigham County Los Angeles County/Santa Barbara-Ventura County = Los Santos County San Diego County = San Pasqual County Orange County = Valais County Also the gap between San Benardino County and the Mexican border would be Trecena County. Los Santos County is the largest of them all, and the rest are roughly the same size, with Brigham County being a bit bigger. Southern California might actually be that Los Puerta from the trailer, with additional countryside turf. Los Puerta simply means "the gate" in Spanish and it's also the largest highway in the game. Edited November 4, 2011 by OnlySurvivor
Raptomex
I'm terrible with geography. Doesn't a desert directly connect LA and Vegas? If so, maybe there's hope for a desert as well?

Then, you are in for a very big shock when you see the size of the map. It's good to have small expectations sometimes, because things may turn out to be more exciting than you could ever imagine. I too, live in Southern California, and I personally hate it. The weather's nice, but that's about it.
