In the context of this thread, and for sake of argument; you are correct that I have oversimplified my earlier argument and thus it would come off as closed-minded. That was my mistake, but after we've had a better talk now, I hope you can at least agree that that isn't the case at all. Was a pleasure. So you don't know if ensuring the survival of your species is the most important thing you can do? Stop being all philosophical, go back to basics. Every other life form on this planet, when observed, simply lives to reproduce. Do we see queen bees leaving their hives and taking their eggs with them because they "don't know" if reproducing is the most important thing they could do? Do we see lions leaving their prides unfertilized because they want to find the meaning of life, something more important than reproducing? I think not. First of all, while on the level of equality, I consider all of us to be equal; including animals (I am a vegetarian). However, on the level of thought and mind, we are different than a lion or a bee or whatever kind of animal you want to name. As for 'stop being all philosophical', um? Okay? I don't see how one can stop being all philosophical, when that is essentially what life is and consists of. They do it because they do it, instinct. If it still isn't clear: Just because animals do something out of instinct, doesn't mean it is the primary goal of life. I don't know why anyone would pretend as if they never saw that anywhere. a) Transsexuals are not classified as males b) Tranny hookers don't 'market' themselves as guys, nor do they dress like them (so they still appear to be female, which is most important because Rockstar isn't going to show their genitalia) c) I live in New York City, and have never seen a male hooker working the corner. Most male prostitutes work as 'call boys', or are 'undercover', so to speak. They don't stand on corners in slutty clothing. O.K., technically you made a point, but regardless of how they appear or market themselves, they are STILL not women, and are part of the homosexual community. They don't MARKET themselves as women necessarily, and most men who pick them up KNOW they are not women. Shemale DO exist, and ARE a part of any urban environment. While you made a technically valid point, i was addressing several comments on this thread. If Rockstar wants to make a lifelike depiction of a major city, then it would make sense to include this part of the red light district as well. It is more about a realistic and diverse addition to GTA, and FAR less about how comfortable certain people are with having it in the game. When the conversation steers into homophobic rants about why certain folks don't want it in the game, it sheds light on people and their closed minded interest in the GTA franchise. Anyway, ON TOPIC, I'm surprised there have been no male prostitutes before in GTA, especially since the series <i>has</i> dealt with closeted celebrities. And since Rockstar seems to like teasing the less-tolerant part of their fanbase (pioneering non-white protagonists, the Gay Tony dlc, etc.), this seems right up their alley. (PUN TOTALLY INTENDED!) Since we're probably looking at some Vinewood-related story material for V, it would be a shame if they didn't swing for the fences with it. As if THAT will somehow have a deep and profound impact on them, that the previous violence and over the top themes have NOT had throughout the series. People have become WAY too serious about a game that is all about satire and over the top adventures. I don't know why anyone who finds homosexuality so repulsive would be playing a game like this in the first place. I always thought this game was for people who appreciate outrageous humor. Diseases and STD's can be easily contracted from unsafe sex, and also factor in how thin your intestinal walls are, they were not designed to handle such excessive force, they could easily tear. Granted, when a vagina is pentrated, the vaginal walls have the possibility to rip or tear, but it is highly unlikely, as they were designed for such penetration.
