I didn't insult this person on a personal level, nor did I simply try to insult him and make him look stupid as to hide the fact that I don't have any valid arguments of my own. Homophobes don't need anyone's help to come across as dumb, they do that just fine on their own. I am not a homosexual and thus I wouldn't have sex with a man, but if someone is homosexual and chooses to have sex with a man, there is nothing wrong with it and I fail to understand how it is disgusting. I remember when years ago I thought the same way; ''I aren't to be called homophobic simply because of the fact that I find two men having sex disgusting'', luckily I have matured. My point was is that every gay I've ever met is very feminine, not tough. And you aren't automatically an insecure homosexual if you are disgusted at the thought of what they do to each other, because quite frankly, it is a disgusting thought. You aren't even a homophobe if you consider it disgusting. And nobody's trying to change your mind about it. It's perfectly fine to feel dislike towards homosexual acts, or towards specific religious practices, or even certain races. That's how you feel. That's part of who you are. Anybody who tries to force you to be different about it is as much a bigot as anyone. But that's not what the argument is about. It's been pointed that your understanding of gay culture is extremely narrow. Which is also understandable. You don't like it. You probable won't take much time to look into it. And if you simply admit that, you're the better man for it. But instead, you start acting angry when it's brought to your attention. That's acting insecure. That's where you are simply wrong. I've been to gay clubs. I've met a wide variety of gay people of either gender. I can tell you from experience that your perception is wrong. It doesn't fit within your experience, but that's because your experience is very limited. Again, I'm not trying to change your feelings towards these individuals and what they do. I'm giving you a simple fact that comes from experience much broader than your own, and ask you to acknowledge it. And you don't even have to do that. I used to throw raves in my mid 20's, at least a dozen of them where in gay clubs too. I got the venues for next to nothing and the people loved music and would stay up partying until 7am. My kind of people. Many gay people are the funniest, smartest, nicest people to hang out with. I call a few friends to this day, and others my employees at work. I don't even really see it as disgusting or anything like I used to as a small town teenager still coming to grips with my hormone pumped body and desire to learn to talk to girls better (and ultimately have sex with them). Sex is sex, preference is preference, and finding somebody you are attracted too and having a relationship with is completely normal. When you grow up you get used to people being different. There's having your opinion and thats all very well but it doesn't give you a licence to say whatever the hell you like. Racism is too broad of a term. It can mean different things, from feeling you have towards other races, to how you talk about them, to how you treat them. You can feel any way you want about other races, and admit it here without being punished for it. It's technically racism, but to that degree, it is tolerated. If you insult someone for their race, on the other hand, you get a swift kick in the behind, as many have found in these past few days. As far as expressing opinions, yes, they'll always offend someone. And guess what? It's the fault of person getting offended. I don't see what the majority siding with me has to do with anything, incredibly irrelevant statement wouldn't you say? I do appreciate your posts in this topic and they are quite spot-on, but if this post of yours is aimed at my previous post about how it's impossible to consider two male's having sex be foul and yet not be a homophobe, I think it is only you who is in the wrong here. I have no doubt in my mind that Lawman doesn't mind lesbians, in fact, I'm sure he is turned on by it, and yes I am making assumptions now but that's only because I've met this type of person so many times and it's the same thing over and over. People claiming that the meaning of life is to reproduce, to keep humanity alive, and thus use that as an argument against homosexuals also make no sense. For, as Nietzsche has said, that is only their interpretation, and might I personally add, it is a hate fueled and ignorant one. You have shown us your capablity to form a well-argumented post, so why can't you do the same in response to me? You merely call me just as close-minded as a homophobic person and move on.
