Racecarlock
What I mean by default radio stations is when you get into a car, a certain radio station turns on. Now, to an extent, I get why this is. You can't expect every car you steal to be on the same talk radio station or whatever. But it's implemented in way too many situations. For example, how does a car I just used a spawn cheat for already have a radio station tuned in? I mean, at least there the radio should be off by default. And then there's the really stupid thing. More than once when I've saved a sports car in GTA IV that was tuned to a talk radio station, the next time I load the game, somehow it's tuned itself to electro choc. How the hell did that happen? In a game like this, this really should not happen anymore. Maybe have a completely random station turn on when you outright steal a car. But spawned vehicles should have their radios off, and vehicles saved in the garage should stay on their current radio stations rather than somehow changing them back to their defaults. Who's with me?
Kwandilibro
Well other drivers are likely listening to the radio. Anyway, it's a really minor issue.
Dale Nixon
I don't think it's a problem at all. In fact, I think it's a pretty nice feature. It accentuates the personality person driving the vehicle, or just the 'personality' vehicle even. I once hijacked a car in GTA IV and the guy driving it was a very old man and the radio station was LIBERTY CITY HARDCORE, so that was pretty funny. Racecarlock
Read the whole post, people. I said it should not automatically switch your station if it's a saved or cheat spawned vehicle. If it's saved, it should stay on the station you saved it on. If it's spawned, have the radio off by default.

You are acting as if a vehicle falling out of the sky by a cheat or mobile phone is a realistic thing. I really don't understand how this can be a problem to anyone, but I guess that people just like to whine about every little thing.
Bomberlegend
No point crying over spilt milk. It's really a non issue.
gtacrazyz
because a car appearing out of nowhere is realistic enough without the radio station already being tuned in yea? lol
Halo_Override
I agree it's less realistic, but it's still a nice feature for the player. It's a compromise I don't mind at all.
jynxdays
Well would you rather have them worry about radios or have them worry about a huge map?

Who's with me? I'm definitely with you on this GTA is not just about a huge map it's even more about small details. And besides the radio in cars I want a freakin' radio I can change channels on in my safehouses. Really annoying to have that latino music channel on with TBOGT. I really wanted Vice City FM on. Or maybe something else if I would be in a different mood Spawned vehicles and safehouses should get the option to have a preferred channel on. Or the option to remember the last played station. All individual. So, a certain sports car will have dance music. And a certain motorcycle will get a rock channel because I chose so before. The same goes for safehouses. Maybe my big mansion will have the classical music as my preferred channel. And a small apartment safehouse somewhere else will have steamy R&B channel for my mistress And if a car of safehouse is new it should play my general preferred channel which you can see in your stats screen. But having acquired the new car or safehouse should give me the option for an individual preference.
FlavouredMilk
I was expecting a 'CREATE YOUR OWN RADIO STATION, SAINTS ROW, SAINTS ROW, SAINTS ROW' kind of post. Sadly... That would've been better discussed than this.
fireguy109
Well would you rather have them worry about radios or have them worry about a huge map? It's not a big compromise. All it would take is one line of code, similar to this, in the spawning scripts - 041E: set_radio_station 14 0 And boom, spawned cars have the radio off. It'll be even easier since it's an exe function most likely programmed using Hex or whatever compiler it is they use. You people obviously don't realize how simple some of this stuff is. You act like it takes months to add in one line. Furthermore, the "save radio" thing was already programmed into previous games. It would be child's play to add it in.
