Isuck100%
I can't believe how pathetic, illogical and ungrateful the majority of the members of GTAForums have been acting since the trailer's release. For the first time in almost 7 years of being a GTAForums member, I am ashamed of this site. The unbelievable amount of care and attention Rockstar puts into their worlds is second to none. And here they present to us their largest and most ambitious project yet, even giving the GTA IV haters a ton of what they have wanted all this time, and we see nothing but petty complaints. It truly makes me sick... What a bunch of pricks! Edited November 4, 2011 by Isuck100%

GTAlove
If there is no SF or LV I will be extremely disappointed. If I wanted one big detailed city I would go play IV. It's not San Andreas if you don't f*cking include all three cities. They didn't say it was San Andreas. All they said was that it would be Los Santos and the surrounding countryside. GTA Fans just assume everything, "OMG IN THE TRAILER THERE WAS LOS SANTOS, THEREFORE THE WHOLE SA MUST BE IN IT, WHICH MEANS THE WHOLE UNITED STATES WILL BE IN IT" "OH YEAH I HEARD AUSTRALIA WAS IN AS WELL" "YEAH AND CANADA" And then they get pissed about how disappointed they are when it was all random speculation they came up with without any facts what so ever. Yeah, and then we're the ones that have to listen to them bitch and moan. So unappreciative, I mean just be happy that the damn thing was announced! What a bunch of pricks! THIS Seriously. We've seen ONE trailer. ONE. Wasn't even 2 minutes. We don't know half or even a quarter of what R* has in store for us. Just sit back, enjoy the ride and stop complaining. Nothing ever pleases some people honestly. Once again, be grateful that R* still listens to us and continues making GTA the amazing series it is. Mafioso86
If R* really wanted to make a game that was so big it would require multiple discs I suspect that they would do just that, put it on seperate discs. The Houser Bros make the games that they want to make, they just not might be the exact game that you want to play. That said it's really not that bad. You're getting your jets and countryside. I'm sure we'll see parachutes and tanks. And if we're really really lucky we just might get new interesting areas like suburbs or maybe even a little bit of Mexico if we're lucky. trackmania
This is ridiculous. Forget for a second about previous GTAs. Think about the real life, picture yourself in the middle of Los Angeles and think how big (HUGE) that city is and the vast amount of places around it you can go. Im not saying it will all be recreated perfectly or even close to it, but they ARE making this game from scratch and not based on gta sa, they ARE surely trying to raise the bar again as far as creating worlds is concerned, and they ARE the ones who made every single incredible city in past GTAs. You'll be getting an experience like no other even if it is only Los Santos.
Killer.Khan
Might as well have no planes if only 1 city is included. To quote an official statement: "Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created." -Rockstargames.com Don't worry. There will be ample room for jet flying. I'm just happy we got a trailer. OnlySurvivor
Might as well have no planes if only 1 city is included. The city has three airports, and the world itself is more than twice the size of RDR. Yup, might as well get rid of all of those cars too.
ElSalvo
Jesus Christ. I've been browsing these forums since the trailer was released the other day. The amount of whinging from half of you is f*cking stupid as hell. Stop it. Be grateful that we are getting a new goddamn game and stop your f*cking complaining. @bobgtafan: As mentioned a hundred goddamn times already, the San Andreas representation of Los Santos was a butchered (At best) version of Los Angeles and doesn't even slightly represent LA. Sure, we got a pretty skyline and a slice of the Santa Monica Pier, but what else? By focusing on Los Santos proper this time 'round we are very likely to get a city that will be a faithful tribute to LA and will (hopefully) rival Liberty City in terms of scope, size and depth. Don't forget that SoCal is gigantic and that SA was NOT a good representation of the SoCal region. Don't act so entitled. You're not. R* can't be expected to please everyone and you and I both know that what they will produce will be fantastic.

I don't feel SA totally represented the whole of SoCal and I believe R* could do so much better. Those people who bagged R* for no reason are just trolls wanting to seek attention. It's not enough for them to get countless hours of gameplay and exploration for a few dollars that would'nt be enough for dinner and a movie with a chick. Instead of rejoicing at another epic chapter in the franchise that changed the gaming world, it's more crazy expectations from retards.
the shape
whaaaat??? just LS? wow, i thought someone confirmed seeing a San Andreas license plate? hmm... i'm really confused now, i mean i know the map will be huge, but just focusing on LS? who knows, it definitely looks big but GTA has always been a 3 island game and even a mini 4th island... i'm sure it'll work, but damn... i really wanted to explore Las Venturas, who knows tho? guess this means they're now going to focus on one major city from now on, with just surrounding areas. i can understand, they'll definitely be able to play around more with the map. they'll be able to great a more in-depth game, but at the same time... at least Las Venturas, i mean L.A. Noire just came out and we're practically exploring the same city? whatever, it's R* and i've got high hopes . they have yet to let me down Edited November 4, 2011 by the shape
Magic_Al
The real Los Angeles is over 500 square miles! GTA SA's entire map was 13.9 square miles and maybe 3 square miles of that was the Los Santos area. GTA has only scratched the surface of L.A. If GTA V is (let's make up numbers) 20 square miles and half city, half countryside, then the new Los Santos would be over 3 times as big as the old one, but still be only 2% the size of the real Los Angeles! It will be nothing like L.A. Noire. L.A. Noire copied 8 square miles of actual L.A. streets, which is only a few districts in the core of the city. GTA maps have much more variety because they squeeze the highlights of an entire city or region onto made-up streets that reduce neighborhoods to a couple blocks of representative buildings. Noire just came out and while it might have focused on a small area of L.A, it just sounds repetitive on paper, but i'm 100% certain the game is going to blow my mind away. Why do people think this is a valid confirmation of a whole SA map? It's just the license plate, people in LA don't have "Los Angeles" plates, they have California. Oh God, you haven't even played the game yet! STOP BITCHING ABOUT LOS SANTOS! hope that's not directed to me, i didn't bitch or complain about the game being in ONLY LS. i was saying i was surprised basically and mentioned a few times that i know the game will be great.............. if that's bitching, then there is a serious language barrier you're experiencing, lol. shinsta312
Personally, I believe R* is set out to prove that they don't need an entire state to make this game feel incredibly massive. Granted, Los Angeles has been used multiple times in both Midnight Club: LA and L.A. Noire, but in the end of the day, they're different games. R* has already created a more realistic portrayal of Liberty City in terms of detail and real life resemblance. They're gonna do it again with Los Santos. GR7
You make it sound like Rockstar consists of dumbarses I'm sure they know much better than us when it comes to the direction of future GTA games. Even though its only Los santos the trailer pretty much confirms that the game will be huge and if not bigger than San andreas ps2 era, compare the mt chiliad to the mountain in the trailer expect that sort of difference in scale when it comes to the rest of V and If you wanted the diversity of SA's environment it looks like it's still there with mountains, countryside and what looks like some desert at 0:56 behind the liquor store and just think that was all shown during the first trailer think about all the other environments they haven't shown yet.
