Restelo94 Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 They're likely to be the based on the San Jacinto Mountains, not exactly on the foot of LA but near enough "The San Jacinto Mountains are a mountain range east of Los Angeles in southern California in the United States" BUT there is no snow on the top of this mountain in the trailer. The San Jacinto mountains seem to be lower on that topographic map than the ones directly behind LA, so the ones in the trailer are likely to be them since they're lower and without snow Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

brian. Posted June 29, 2012 Share Posted June 29, 2012 This reminds me of the Carcer City section in GTA III. You could fly the Dodo there (though it wasn't solid). It was from the intro to the game. I can see people trying to find ways to overcome some seemingly impassable obstacle to get to a hidden part of the map in GTA V. Nah, that's ghost town, it was a testing platform, I don't think it was used at all for the game. the intro to the game takes place at sex club 7 and the bridge. It's very likely they will have plenty of twists to San Andreas of old, but there will be familiar landmarks or homages to past GTA, it won't be rebooting San An in an HD manner, that would sell the whole project short, and it would simply not justify the time spent making it! azali10 Posted June 30, 2012 Share Posted June 30, 2012 Okay so, Mount Chilliad is based on Mount Diablo correct? Well, look at Mount Diablo. now look at the Mountains in the trailer. Now look back at Mount Diablo. There is no way in hell those puny hills they call Mount Diablo and that huge Mountain Range in the trailer are supposed to be the same thing. Its probably the San Gabriel mountains, which look very similar to the Mountain range in the trailer, as you can see from the pictures others posted.
