Recommended Posts

Whoops, sorry all, the landmarks map is currently down.

Will fix this asap, it should be back up later today.

Thanks my friend :) (aplause...)

Hi guys, as some know, soon will leave the Mafia 3, so I was wondering if there was interest in doing a mapping in the new city, New Bordeux / New Orleans, it is just to know, here about what I mean, regards

not die this post

I'm so glad my city takes center stage in a video game, wish GTA would have a setting here.

I know it's off topic for GTA but...The building quoted in red is the old World Trade Market, I'm not sure who owns the building now but a quick google search should do the trick.

The bridge in the game screenshot would be the present day Greater New Orleans Bridge (GNO); I'm not sure what the name of the bridge was in the 1960's but it is LA HWY 90.

Been a while since we had a new find. :)

Google have updated Streetview in some rural areas. Had a look at this garage a couple of years ago, but the previous Streetview images were so grainy, it made it hard to spot all the little details. Funnily enough though, it's only the older Streetview images that show the little side windows.

In-game - Flywheels Garage, Panorama Dr, Grand Senora Desert.

Real life - Motorhead Auto Garage, 201 Nth Sorenson Ave, Calipatria.

New find!

I recently got back into the PC version of GTA V after having not played it in a while. After replaying the mission where you shoot down a plane and noticing a sign for the "Vinewood estates" while driving in the mission, I started looking around the RL equivalent area in Google Maps, since I was unsure if it had been found or not (And it had). After finding that out, I changed my focus to the houses instead. While browsing through Google maps, I found this area:

Which reminded me of this place from the game.

After checking the surrounding Google Maps to see if this place was unique, I realised that I had stumbled on a new find by complete accident! And this place hadn't even been entered onto the Grandtheftdata website!

Anyone find Lester's house?

We've found Lester's warehouse/clothing factory, but not his house in El Burro Heights or the house he gives Franklin in Vinewood Hills.

This is his warehouse. It's real life address is 635 Mateo St Los Angeles.

We're still looking for these other two houses though.

The house Lester gives to Franklin in Vinewood Hills.

If you want to have a look for yourself, I'd suggest to search every street in this area 1st. Let us know how you get on. :D

El Burro Heights is based on Signal Hill. That place has been gentrified to the hilt. I can see houses built into hills, but they're all new McMansions.

I have been doing a map project laying out intel on San Andreas for an RP. NOOSE, Fort Zancudo, ATMs., all the sort. I need help for finding every single ATM since I don't have the time to drive around the map and find them. GTA WIkia has a good list to start off, but it is not complete, as you can find random ATMs around the map in more prestigious landmarks like the Kortz Center in Pacific Bluffs.

I have a couple of suggestions for the GTA VI mapping thread. The first few spots on page 1 should be reserved for posting updates and progress of the maps. It's interesting to look at the progress of the maps, but it's too difficult to search through hundreds of pages.  Also, the mods should be in charge of updates to make sure everyone's maps get posted on the first page.

Below are the maps before Rockstar released the blueprint of Los Santos:

I plan on doing exactly that when the time comes.

I was actually in charge of the first post with Gifbrah and actually posted a few of the maps made here.

Will try to improve on that for next time.

Also, a lot of the images in this thread and the mapping Liberty City thread are now dead links. I think it would be a good idea to get a few members to save the images on their computers so they can be re-posted if hosting sites go offline or delete images.

I did a similar thing in the mapping RDR2 thread. Although I started around April, then again in August through to October 2018. I didn't do a full job, although I did lots of screenshots of the thread, not just the images. I plan on doing this properly for GTA VI (or at least the important stuff... but, you know how life is. And if it's anything like GTA V... I might not be able to handle it all lol

It's in the Richman area. Head East from Rockford Hills. Here's an image with the waypoint so that you can have an idea where to find it. There's a Furore GT parked near the house.
