Thank you to all the mappers, especially Fido you did an excellent job you put so much work into mapping this thing and you did a hell of a job. I've been following this thread since it was started, we made history here. No other game has fans like us that put hours into making our own version of the map and sharing where things are on it. The wait sucked but we made it. 2 f*cking years and its here. I hope to see you guys on GTAO.. My GT is Hidden Polish 2 if anyone is interested in playing online

Found 4 landmarks on Eclipse:

 

Carney's, called Last Train of Los Santos.

The Comedy Store, called Split Sides West.

West Hollywood Apartments.

Cabo Cantina, called Spitroasters.

I wonder if anyone is going to get images of when they're switching characters and build up a really extremely detailed map at the closest zoom level.

Yup, thought of that, too. Even the in-game map at highest resolution would be a good thing to have.

 

Bigger goals would be something like this, or even this (drop orange ped for streetview).

 

I'm amazed at the map content of the official manual app. Rockstar has done everything except street view. It's like they've looked how people have spent their time ripping and rendering the maps of previous games and did it for us so we have more time to play the actual game.

I gotta say that I´m really impressed by the work you guys have done on the mapping!

 

It´s unbelievable to think that we knew 90% of the map almost a year pre-release.

While my kids are hogging the PS3, I might as well spot a few buildings too.

This one in real life is located at 19296 East Pacific Coast Highway Malibu.

In the game it's actually duplicated. Once on the northern Chumash service road, & once on the southern service road.

You're right. I knew I had seen that building before, It's a bit different looking however.

 

Anyway, the corner of Morningwood Blvd and Cougar Ave is a goldmine. I found these buildings:

Fox Theater (Found by Wayne earlier):

The mansion in the screenshot is the orange roofed building in the aqua square.

I assume it's the same vineyard from the first trailer, but there are a few in that area.
