Does anyone know how big the desert is? It doesn't look that big.

 

Is this the right place to ask about the desert-size, or should I ask it in the LS size-topic?

Desert looks roughly the size of Algonquin.

we know there will be casinos and Poker would be a fun idea if you can wager things like cars if you run out of money

It's not *MASSIVE* but it's definitely larger than it looks, the penitentiary is in desert terrain so that shade of green should be assumed to all be desert terrain too.

I am very surprised and disappointed that there is no casinos or any kind of gambling in the game like poker or whatever.

Uhm, how do you know? Be aware that the map doesn't show everything. It doesn't show private properties for sale, restaurants etc.

I'd say that it's worth maintaining just to reference the real life counterparts to the in-game buildings, easter eggs and the like.

No need to be a Richard bro. I think the original purpose was to map buildings and such found in the game to real life counterparts. We havent seen all the buildings yet so there is a ton more left to identify. This thread is still in its prime. If you dont want to read it anymore than dont open it.

Just a theory, but it might be part of the Fugitivesque mission I heard about somewhere. As it might have some water come out of it, but I really don't know. Underground runway? Or even just an underground road to a slightly secret area.

Found a landmark, I think. AON Center. In LA it's in the downtown area but here it's looks to be in Little Seoul.

Yeah, it looks like AON Center.

In the map it is noted as 5900 Wilshire.

The location fits but the architecture is more like the AON.

Maybe a mix of both.
