Those commercials have alot of footage for you mappers to use.

I don't know why you shouldn't be able to use it.

It is really simple, Rockstar asked kindly to not show, discuss, etc leaked content. This thread has done fine for a long time without leaked content so I don't really understand why it is all of the sudden so needed for mapping. Heck, I have seen some of the footage and there is just not enough in it that is that important (other than one building a particular which fills in the blank on the east of Los Santos).

Like in GTA IV, not everything you see on TV exists in the game. Part of it takes place on sets, in fictional places, etc. If you know the map, it's not hard to tell what is what.

BTW im realy sad about this topic. These Spoiler and leak thing F*ck up so hard this thread. I was realy enjoying here. now nothing to do here unless ur not looking a sh*t conversation about leeks.

This is NOT solely about spoilers. Rockstar has asked this forum to stop talking about/showing leaked content and the forum admin complied.

 

And calling something a spoiler or not is extremely subjective. You may not think any of the videos are spoilers but not everyone will feel the same way. Some people out there will want even the TV shows and the such to be something they can see once playing the game instead of now.

 

I also don't see a reason to just disrespect Rockstar's wishes in this matter. It is really not as if there is that much in the videos to map which hasn't already been mapped anyway. This thread has done more than fine for what is it, years and now all of the sudden leaked content is necessary to get a better understanding of the map? The map as it is right now is extremely accurate and that is without the need of examining leaks.

That's only a small part of the map.

That's just the city of Los Santos, the map is 3 to 5 times bigger than that

Why are all you babies whining about the lockdown on spoilers? R* personally requested the admins stop any talk of them, because all the stuff we're talking about, Michaels last name, who dies, etc is leaked from the games files, it's not official info from R*, do you think the admins are gonna just say "f*ck off R* it's our website" then let us carry on? Because if that did happen i'm pretty sure the site would get shutdown. Because that DID happen in 2012 with previous leaks.

Geez, can't we just wait in peace for another 20+ days for the game instead of shredding ourselves apart from all these spoilers? We already got incredibly close to the actual map by careful analysis of OFFICIAL content from R* which unlike the leaked files, are extremely vague in telling us the locations of different buildings and areas.

If you don't want to see the map before release, I would advise that you stay away from this thread in the next couple of days.. I can see newly registered trolls spamming the map all over this thread without warning..

A sizeable parody of UCLA named ULSA also appears to be in the game, one leaked clip shows a clearer view of what was believed to be modelled after the UCLA Powell Library (already found in the GTA Online trailer).

For the people who think a certain view of Los Santos from the recent leaks makes the map look small (the shot of the top of Mt. Chiliad with LS in the background), here's a view of a city skyline from a mountain in the suburbs ~25 miles away, taken with a telephoto lens (just like in the image I mentioned above).

Why are people still posting about the leaks? Surely you can just be content with what you've seen, clearly its in the game, doesn't really need to be located on a map.

 

Certainly not here as we're honouring Rockstar's requests, by all means look at it but please don't keep posting here as it's just giving the mods so much more work to do.
