Mapping Los Santos! Building/landmark analysis

Last week a artwork was released, i believe it was on Facebook.

The artwork contained, what it seemed, a view of the city of Los Santos.

Somehow i cant find it and i need it for mapping purposes.

Does someone have a link to that artwork for me?

I kinda agree with you but since I hate spoilers, I don't want to go looking for those leaked videos.

I'm too afraid to see something that I don't want.

In all honesty Fido, there really aren't any spoilers... I would at least watch video 49 so you can see the improved draw distance of the game. Other than that there isn't much there.

 

I do think this forum needs to be locked for a couple of days until new screens are released. Rockstar didn't intend for this information to leak out, so naturally people do not want to be spoiled. If you've seen the videos and want to post/talk about them excessively, go somewhere else. Other people shouldn't have the game spoiled (small aspects of it) because you couldn't wait 22 days.

 

Also this forum should not be locked when the map is released or even after the game is released. It will be great to come back to the forum and see the conversations and congratulations floating around. So please don't keep the forum locked forever or even lock it when the game is released. It would be awesome to have the best ranked maps listed from how accurate they are/were to who liked which fan-made map the most.

There is a version without audio, excluding all spoilers. Which should be great for mapping purposes, it won't spoil anything but it will give you a better idea of placement of buildings and size.

Indeed. The only reason I mentioned it here was that I'm sure most people who have scrutinized every pixel of each official screenshot will be curious to see new material -- and it's much nicer to have an edited version of the relevant clips than to have to click through lots of spoiler threads. The fact that it's silent assures the content will still be fresh and new once you play the actual game.

 

And again, there's nothing breathtakingly new there. Ironically, after finding two real-life buildings (because there are finally good shots of them), I realized they were already properly identified and located on Fido's map.

I'm starting to think this topic has more or less became useless. Let's say rockstar releases a new trailer.... Then we still haven't got anything to map, because we already know where things are on the map. If we see a big mountain, we know it could be mt chilliad, if we see a sea, we know it's the alamo sea, if we see city, we know it's los santos. And we already know the shape of the map, so the only thing we can do in this thread is name buildings

I hate to be one of the people who is talking about the leaks/spoilers, but I sort of accidentally saw some of the tv spot videos, and from that I just have to ask, are there any clues as to where the baseball stadium might be located? If it was to be located in an area close to real life Dodger Stadium, it would be somewhere up in the hills to the east of the city Have we seen enough of that area of the map to determine if there's enough room for a baseball stadium? Or do you think it's hidden somewhere?
