Mapping Los Santos! Building/landmark analysis

Btw, other than revealing the shape of the map, that page also mentions "Downtown Cab Co", "McKenzie Field Hangar", an "old dock" filled with "nuclear waste" and, um... "spaceship parts".

We already know where Zancudo River is. The river is south of Mount Josiah and flows from the Alamo Sea into the ocean. There is no Mexico. Have you never heard of phrases like "It tastes like .."? That is pretty much what that phrase on the postcard is about as well. It is not about the inclusion of Mexico.

I don't think it's the whole map. Just the region of Los Santos and Blaine County.

Zancudo River comes from Mexico, but if that achievement image shows the whole map, then fan made map is very close to the real one and Los Santos and Blaine County would be on an island. In this case, there wouldn't be space for the Zancuro River.

 

My dear italian friend the zancudo river doesn't come from mexico, it just brings the taste of mexico which means that it's environment resembles mexico.

It can also be that polluted waters of the river bring a taste of Mexico from Mexico.

I have start mine 2 weeks ago with the help of the scale in gameplay trailer and blueprint but not post here before, not bad too.

 

Just not finished at all^^ and i have wrong for the lighthouse, i'm thinking this is more south.

It's looking west towards the Zancudo River.

The satellite dishes would be way off to the left of screen.

That's Mt Josiah on the right & the back of the Vinewood hills on the left.

 

I haven't had a good look at it, but that is what I see straight away.

Satellite dishes, trees, silos... just make up your damn mind already.

I think Paleto is to the far right in that picture. Cant really see much of it at all

The achievement map is 40 pixels tall, it's not surprising some details don't show up. I don't know if the tide goes up and down but that might also change the shape of the beaches.

If I had to guess I'd say North Yanktown is a town that exists on top of either Chiliad or Josiah...it would make sense for a town at a high elevation to get snow

Which spread out mountains? I assume you mean the western side of Mount Chiliad (and yes I refer to the screencap posted on the last page) but that is pretty much an illusion and you are actually seeing the mountain extend further south west instead of west. On the east side the mountains don't extend any further either and it is pretty much how the mappers envisioned it.

But even pictures of those mountain tops have no snow anywhere, in any pictures.

 

It must be due to a new season feature like others have pointed out, but wouldn't that require a lot of processing power (on top of the plethora of features already in the game)??
