These mappers especially Fido really killed it, they made it on point honestly they should win an award for that!

GTA 5 is about Los Santos and Blaine County so it rather likely that is all of the map. It is pointless to think that somehow Rockstar has been stringing us along and there is actually another county and/or city in the game.

I still think the true map outlines look like a face. I still see a tiny nose on the west coast.

About the post below about the island. I think the island is probably way too small to be of any significance .

I think the map looks small only because for the better part of 2 years we've analyzed every screenshot and every scene from the trailers to hell and back, or maybe it's because we were expecting something gargantuan.

I think leaving GTA V as one island leads itself to GTA Online being made up of lots of islands (not now - but over time)

 

It is a perfect way to be able to add new cities and towns later down the line once GTA online becomes huge.

 

I bet a lot of players who don't normally play online will end up there once they finish the Single player mode.

You are right, but its only a small icon for achievement list, so no need to be super detailed about that.

 

None the less I'm truly speechless for the A++ job that every contributor worked hard to bring the most accurate map as possible from all the materials we have gathered so far.

I don't think it's the whole map. Just the region of Los Santos and Blaine County.

Zancudo River comes from Mexico, but if that achievement image shows the whole map, then fan made map is very close to the real one and Los Santos and Blaine County would be on an island. In this case, there wouldn't be space for the Zancuro River.

That's not a city, those are the satellite dishes

No. Just trees I believe.

It's looking west towards the Zancudo River.

The satellite dishes would be way off to the left of screen.

That's Mt Josiah on the right & the back of the Vinewood hills on the left.

 

I haven't had a good look at it, but that is what I see straight away.

Satellite dishes, trees, silos... just make up your damn mind already.

I was just correcting the view on the image.

If people stopped posting random, half thought out crap on here, over & over & over & over again, we could probably get on with something decent.
