Mapping Los Santos! Building/landmark analysis

I am a tad bit unsure if anyone has identified the blurred out structure behind the plane where trevor is taking off? Sorry if this has been solved earlier..

I can't find any railroad connection between Blaine County and Los Santos. I'm starting to doubt there is one, and the chance there's one east and one west is very small as I see it.

Why wouldn't there be a connection? If Fido's map is correct you are not seeing the connection because some parts of the map haven't been shown. With Fido having accounted for a part of the railroad to the east of Los Santos it is likely that it will connect with the city.

All of the foreground features were highlighted straight from the image, so there are a few roads that aren't on Fido's map yet. (lift your game mate )

Most of the roads & features around the airstrip, prison & Sandy Shores were taken from Fido's map.

Some of the minor roads at the top centre of the image could be contour lines from the hills, but most of them are actual roads. It was quite hard to distinguish between the two.

 

Edit. The freeway is in yellow.

If you look on the blueprint there's two white lines that curve south east from the river, which I think are underground. Not sure why the rest isn't underground, but I think the route follows the eastern highway. The highway race in the gameplay trailer shows a railway running along the right.of the road and bridging over the junction. The windmill pic shows another line further east of the wind farm.

I have modified the map of fido with the new things we now, and ajust with the scale of the gameplay trailer.

 

I'm sure there is more things i have not notice.

What if.... the area within the photo of Franklin in between Alamo and LS is the size of RDR. And the rest of the map is the size of SA without counting water.

I didn't notice that one. Either way it was still not completely right.

I think you can see where they join up again in the trailer 2 skydiving scene, I'd point to my map but unfortunately I added a bunch of total guesses of other railway lines too.

It's really hard to gauge the size of the area in that image.

Some people say that image makes the area looks small, some people say it makes the area look huge.

Just going by eye, I don't think that section is as big as RDR. Although I think the map is huge & diverse, I still don't think it's 3.5 times RDR.

I truly believe there will be a Santa Catalina type island & a little bit more land to the east, just on the other side of the mountain range.

 

Hopefully in 5 minutes we'll get more info. Fingers crossed.

Just wondering about these islands in the top right corner, I can't place them.

Not claiming that there's another island, just thinking out loud.

I believe the bridge in the top centre of the image was at a boundarie of the map? Or am I completely wrong?
