Well there we have it, thats what the box is on the top of the mountain

I knew all along it would have to be a cableway!

Does that mean we will be able to ride the cable car?

Hello, do you have an idea of what is this name?

No idea

San Chiansi? I can't find any references for anything like that or anything else.

The writing should be the same width as the word M O U N T A I N, so we're seeing almost all of it.

Certainly not that one because it's pretty run down.

looks ok from down here.

It looked like a wreck from the sky.

The brochure mentions a "SKY-VIEW CAFE"

Maybe mentioned already? I know its rather small image but this appears to be a shot of Malibu Possibly. Or whatever the in-game equivalent is called.

Looks to me like there's a decent bit of land next to/behind Mt Chiliad that we haven't been shown yet.

Also, just an observation but I had no idea until now how close the Alamo Sea would be to the Vinewood Hills until now, judging by other screens/fan maps. My sense of scale etc is crap however

EDIT: Nevermind, realised I was way off and we're looking at Zancudo FROM Chiliad in this screen

That's the palletto cove right there.

How much more obvious could it be that there isnt two n's in a row so its definitely not Chianne.

Guys I got this form the multiple towns Argument, But seriously look at the Square to the right, that literally looks like a small town or city.

Could it be Chianu?

Sicilian word for plain, that's all I've got confused.gif The mountain looks like a bit of a plateau from other angles so it might make some sort of sense.

Is there anything shown directly east of los santos behind those mountains?

No.

R* are being very secretive about that part of the map.

Makes me really believe they are hiding something. I don't know what though.

There is going to be a San Bernardino equivalent, a.ka the snowy part of the map.

So the north end of the map could actually be a bay.

Maybe it's north of the land act reservoir, as that dam is supposedly based on one up in that range. I'd have thought the snowy part would have been more obvious though if true.

You know, now that I think about it, the water area is 1.5x RDR. Surely the rivers and Lake Alamo don't equal 1.5x RDR. Maybe there is in fact another island and that water measurement includes some water inbetween the main landmass and the island.

totally agree with you guys above - the article on buzzfeed today was saying "no draw distance, you can see the other side of the map". so they're hiding something. It's either more map, or our crushing disappointment. 50/50 at this point! colgate.gif

It includes coastal areas too. At least along the edges of the land, it doesn't necessarily have to fill the rectangle with detail.

Where could this Pala Springs be located?

HOLY bleep. Pala Springs - Palm Springs.

I wasn't sure about the map size before, but now there's a Palm Springs.... I am amazed.

OT: It's obviously at the base of a mountain, probably whatever mountain the gondala building has been found.

But it still wouldn't equal to 1.5x RDR, unless Rockstar is hiding something somewhere, or they included a lot of costal areas.

No, it is not correct. The left of the screenshot is the south west side of the Alamo Sea. The top left is Sandy Shores.

I've read this thread now for a while and I felt like I should try to do some "digging" xD

Don't know if it's correct but if it is, there might be more to the north-west.

Did you actually go back just a few pages? That's the Alamo Sea. You can see Los Santos in the distance.
