The building in park looks like the Echo Park Lake Boathouse.

But what are with all the cherry blossoms? As if it were Lake Balboa.

And it looks to be east of the city.... Inconsistencies.

It s definitely this building. Look at the wood bars directly under the roof. I doubt this structure are that often used in LA.

It appears Echo Park is close to Dodger Stadium and the L.A.P.D Academy. I wonder if they will add them in game??

There's no way the blimp will stay in the same spot on the sky and not move...thats not realistic...

Em, where's the rest of the buildings (considering these are the buildings surrounding the US Bank) ?

 

The building to the far left behind the palm trees looks like the MH Club under construction, so where's the others gone?

 

Unless this proves this is early development of V & those buildings haven't been included yet!

They are all there guys, just at a weird angle. You can see the US bank tower and the mile high club.

Great job boxmonster, it is Echo Park for sure.

However, the location is way off compared to real life Los Angeles.

I guess we are now sure that many landmarks are located in different spots than they're real life counterparts.

The San Fernando Valley (A very large area of LA) Is on the other side of a mountain (The mountain with the Hollywood sign) from the rest of LA. So people complaining that the city is too small should realize that about half of Los Santos is on the other side of a mountain from the areas we have seen so far. I also expect many suburbs as well as the forests/desert and mountains this map is going to be huge!

In my opinion the Liquor ace scene is actually in a desert area. So i was thinking maybe palm springs or somewhere in the Coachella velley. Because i think the map will extend that far. I think the map will be: Almost all of Los Angeles, much of the metro area surrounding the city, Desert extending past Palm Springs and maybe to the Sulton Sea, Forests extending to the San Gabriel Mountains and maybe Santa Catalina island off the coast of LS

Well I found those exact buildings in the new GTA V image, it's circled right behind Beverly Hills City Hall:

 

So now we know where those landmarks are.

Copy the image URL and paste it into the address bar.

 

What his image comparisons show is, where we estimated the land might have ended and went into the ocean area, there is actually much more land beyond that area (which could not be seen due to the smog effect).
