I've a quick question, being LS the only city, is it confirmed that there will be a lot of towns on the countryside? I've seen somewhere R* saying that, "lots of towns"

Is that true?

If it is, even with the awesome work of all the mappers here, I don't quite think that is correct to say that we've seen 80-90% like many users say

 

but, correct me if i'm wrong

We have maybe seen 80% from any,distance, but a lot of that is just hazy hillsides and we don't know what's there anyway.

Why are you asking us if its true when you said yourself you have seen rockstar say it?

 

Paleto, sandy shores and maybe 3 other towns we haven't seen yet.

I can't help but feel partially responsible for Rockstar being so tight lipped.

 

This thread has pretty much painting a good picture of what we can expect come release day, and Rockstar still needs some sort of surprises up their sleeves.

well i think (hope) that the latest maps which frame quite a clear picture of the gameworld are -let's say- not es accurate as one might expect.

 

i'm confident that the map will be satisfying, but when its really like this, than it might be a bit boring. i like going from a to b to c, but somehow i am missing the b and the c on the map...

In unrelated business, could this bridge be a match to the one in the Marine Helicopter screenshot ?

Bridge over Santa Clara River at Oxnard :

 

I looked from LA to Monterrey but there aren't any bridge really similar to the one in the screen.

That would make sense, I'd been wondering if there was anything like that around there.

It may be far fetched, but this reminds me a lot of Batiquitos Lagoon in Carlsbad (San Diego),

To add to the speculation.. Rockstar San Diego is only a few miles from that lagoon.

 

Those also look like walking trails.. which is popular around the lagoon.

We don't need you guys to tell us over and over what page we are on. Part of the reason why its page 900 and not 400 is because of all the spammers who contribute nothing by expecting us to repeat findings over and over. Then there's the people who have some massive need to tell us the page we are on when everyone here clearly has eyes.

How come we don't have screenshots from the gameplay trailer like we did the trailers 1 and 2? I was pausing the video around just look at things and we could get some good analysis for east Los Santos. I saw very good shots of the 6th Street bridge.

That puts it in a whole new perspective (no pun intended). Now that strange grey shape actually looks like it is attached to the building. And it looks like a steel support structure. I was very sceptical but I am starting to see how this could be for a cable car.

Maybe a satellite dish? Because behind it, or left of it, is a big antenna.

Pretty sure thats a cable car station of some type. Looks like one and makes most sense from the point of view of the game.

Not necessarily trying to prove that this is it, but structure certainly reminds me of the place. I've been to it a couple times in Topanga Canyon. Just a cement landing to overlook the mountains and city.
