I told them to take the San Diego/other cities somewhere more appropriate but they're still here

debating about made up stuff.

All of these discussions are based on absolutely nothing.

We are working on evidences and actual facts but a bunch of newcomers don't see it that way

and they decided to impose their opinions without paying attention of the almost two years of work

others have put into this.

I wish I could talk some sense into them but that's beyond my reach I'm affraid.

I'm a bit sad to see this thread slowly diying but I think indifference is the way to go with these people.

There can't be a proper discussion.

To be honest i think the thread was doomed as soon as it was pinned. The reason this thread stayed alive and relevant so long was mostly people contributing have been following from the get go and were well informed but now since it is easily viewable any random thought that pops into a newcombers head is posted up...So begins the snowballing as usefull posts are buried alive. There have been some great locations found and recently posted by you yourself FIDO but was completely thrown to the side by a barrage of nonsense posts.

You know, after seeing this again. I cant explain the blue rectangular chunk on the top right.

 

At first it looks like the sky but it doesnt follow the peak of the mountains, its just a blue chunk out of the mountain.

I know it's a bit offtopic but has someone spotted the Roxy or the Rainbow club Los Santos conterpart ?

I'v seen the Viper Room in the gameplay trailer but not the Roxy or the Rainbow.

Those buildings haven't been spotted.

At this point, we don't know if they're in the game or not.

It's a plateau sticking out closer. Rockstar don't yet master lighting/cant do it a lot yet on this kind of game on this specs in their otherwise very advanced tech and their map looks too flat in terms of lighting and depth because of it, but they are getting there, and this is one the cases where it's still the case. It's a grassy overhang/plateau between the camera and the other mountain behind it. Now that you know, you can't unsee it

It would be nice if the newcomers went through the thread first to see how the mappers got the positioning of stuff correct. There hasn't been anything new for over 40 pages because they expect us to explain the same thing over and over. Even with screenshot proof, everything gets denied.

 

So take the extra 20 minutes and jump around in the thread a bit to find what you're looking for so the thread doesn't get spammed.

The trees are a definite match and I see a blue row of windows and a white row in the closeup screenshot.

 

Seems plausible.

Where the hell would San Diego be? I'm 99% sure it's not in the game. Many people use that excuse the southern portion of the blueprint was cut off but they don't know that we got a screen of that cut off area here:

See that road heading under the bridge? That's the cut off road from the blueprint. It doesn't even look like a freeway so I doubt that it leads to anything more significant than a port. And If you look at the blueprint you'll see that all that surrounds the road and the cutoff land is water!
