I apologise if this is a stupid question, but I have not been following the thread.

 

How do we know that LS is at the bottom of the map? Looking at the Special/Collectors Edition pictures, there's nothing to suggest that it is at the bottom. Could there not be more land below the city itself?

well he right about one thing..It wont be mapped, because Rockstar isn't going to show any evidence. But that doesn't mean it wont be there in the end. like that Smak guy said... just wait until the map comes out. We'll all see.

As promised, here's my new updated map.

I tried to keep the shape of what is supposedly the island on the board

for the Paleto Heist in the gameplay trailer.

I also tried to make it so it could fit with the blueprint dimensions.

To be honest, I spent about 12 hours on this today so I'll leave the GTA map alone for a few days.

It's an incredible piece of work, and now the landmass shape looks much more correct, though I note that in the process of reshaping things Los Santos got a bit distorted: west of the Los Santos river is squished about 10% horizontally while east of the river is stretched out.

 

 

Anyway, using the scale I settled on in the Los Santos Size topic, I'd measure your landmass area as 22.5 square miles and the entire map would be over 35 square miles. The landmass is a bit bigger than the total accessible landmass of SA, IV and RDR, and a bit more than 3.5x the accessible landmass of Red Dead Redemption.

Alright everyone needs to calm down here. The fact is were are all on here for the same reason...we love this game/ going to love this game, so heres what i suggest. Everyone needs to go home relax and wait in anticipation for this greatgame. Everyone needs to go get laid/hangout with their signifivant others while there is still time, because after this game comes out i have a feeling this will be a priority and some relationships will end cause of it. So go on now go have sex and go have fun outside while there is still time because in less than 2 months our hibernation/ nerd out time begins
