here we go again...

a fellow FJer smile.gif

ontopic: find where the pic is in the map, see which way he is headed, and look if it is an exit.

like if the picture is just north of LS and then we look for small town names in that area to match this. maybe useless idea but my 2cents smile.gif

At this point you might as well say Bigfoot is walking on the hills in that image. tounge.gif

Let's be honest there's no concrete letters made out. monocle.gif

well it must be something other than las venturas because the first letters of both words are the same

I thought we were long past grasping at the SF and LV straws. We're a little under two months from release, there's no way they'd still be hiding another major metropolis area.

There is definitely a fairly sized metropolis somewhere. It doesn't make sense for a highway to leave los Santos and go back around. It leads to somewhere..

A part of the highway already connects with Paleto Bay which is a reasonably sized town. It is just not that likely there is another metropolis out there.

First word is clearly longer than Las.

I'm going with 'Lost Valley' and there's a city under the Alamo Sea.

To me it looks rather like "Free Balue" than "Las Venturas".

Free Willy parody confirmed.

Please explain then. The point of a highway is to get from one place to another. Not from one place to the same place.

Looks like I need to post the map AGAIN, because Kirsty's being an uptight little bitch. Probably because she has no power in her real life, so she has to throw her weight around on TEH INTARWEBS to feel like a grown-ass adult. Pathetic.

Remember, this map is absolutely, positively, without a doubt, heard it from a former R* dev's brother's girlfriend's dog, 100% CONFIRMED!

Nobody is disputing that the map has ' places' on it.

There's a freeway that continues north of this place we're looking at, so that can't be where the freeway goes, just somewhere along the route.

It's not going to the same place. It's going all around the map.

If Liberty City had a highway then why wouldn't this game? Why does it HAVE to have another city for it to make sense?

I'm not sure this was discussed/confirmed...

Everything matches imo, except some marks that don't appear on the road from the building view.

Looks perfect, nice.

If there was no highway in the GTA 5 map, it would be rather... awkward. You drive out into the countryside and there's no main roads at all, just very small roads that are like one way in both directions. That would just seem awkward.

Are the Tataviam mountains supposed to represent the San Jacinto range or the San Gabriel range?

Would be most argumentative to be the San Gabriel Mountains because the Pacoima Dam is probably the Dam they rebuild in game...
