Looks nice! I think you forgot one dock at paleto, but the map looks really nice.

Small update :

 

Added a bunch of new building around Beverly Hills, Vinewood and just south of Downtown.

Beverly Hills : Two Rodeo, 9595 Wilshire Boulevard, Barney's Restaurant, Wilshire Theatre, Flynt Productions

Vinewood : The Viper Room, Sunset Plaza, Guiness World Record Museum

Downtown : Pacific Financial Center

South Downtown : LAC+USC Medical Center, LAC Parking Garage, 1145 North Mission Road (the LA Coroner should be near this one but I can't include it yet)

Industrial : Cereal Food Processors

 

I changed the color of the green to mark the difference with the desert.

I still need to adjust the limits between desert and plains.

Adjusted the shape of the map to bring it closer to the shape seen in the Paleto Heist board in the Gameplay Trailer.

 

Areas we haven't seen yet include :

- the west coast (Paleto to Los Santos) except Bixby Bridge and the mouth of the Alamo river

- the entire east coast except the lighthouse

- the southern end of Los Santos (docks)

- the Military Base, likely located along the zancudo river

- The northern end of the Land Act Reservoir

 

 

For those asking, Union station still hasn't been seen. I find it weird too cause it's a very iconic building in LA.

Nice. I was thinking a big time about this building/area but i was to dumb to combine this spot.

It fit to the minimap. Remember the parachute scene N was market right and not exactly N. And here the angel is diffrent so N could be fit.

And the shed will also fit from angel and positiion.

If you look even further west (or far right in the picture), the path of trees continues.

"The Paleto heist" Its a mission planed in the trailer. There you can see a map and the missiondetails on a billboard/whiteboard/flipchart/wall. There you can find also the checkpoints about the mission. 1 scout town 2 test security 3 time cop responce 4 pick crew 5 get military gear.

Point 1-4 are checked. Point 5 is open and the pictures on the wall and the marked map shows how to get the gear from a base located there. In the postet thread from page ~770 you also can see the shape of the supposed base.

I just finished the latest revised map. Surely, things are not correct, but I updated Paleto's location, added some light green for farmland or vineyards, and stuck in Brunswick Pass (which is the unofficial name that some think they see on a road sign). I do like this map. I think it is cool they aren't following everyone else's thoughts. I think the map also extends East a bit after the hotel area. That way it could extend the desert region more and allow for some more of those towns we saw in screenshots.

OT: i keep seeing a hotel or casino included in a lot of the fan maps to the east of the city near the dam. is there anything to back this up or is this speculation? im dying for a casino.

I was going to post something about this. I completely agree.

I also think more of the NW has already been seen, than most people realize.

Basically, I think the NW to NE goes something like this;

 

NW Zancudo (Josiah) mountain

Bixby Bridge

West side of 2 small mountains west of Alamo (Chilliad), with the drain pipe.

Unknown patch, but has a peninsula with 5 trees at the end

Red factory

Paleto

Farms on NE side of Paleto

Beachside highway, 100-200 ft. (inexact est.) up there is the Hikers image

Up n Atom burger with small town

 

Most of this is pretty accurate, hikers shot only being possible.

Thanks. I wanted to extend the desert are outward to the east, but I have no proof of that. It appears also the desert doesn't reach to the water on either side. It is more or less semi arid scrublands. So far from what I have seen, all areas by ocean are forested and lush.

I'm really surprised they they named it Route 68 and not Route 69. Thought I bet they chose 68 just because they'd expect everyone to think they'd choose 69. Blah!

It goes east to west, they're following how routes are named. Even numbered routes predominately go east/west, odd numbered go north/south.

None of the previews could get the detail right xD Some said it was a military C-130 style plane, another a commercial jet, another a small Cessna-type, another a military helicopter (I think even a fighter jet was mentioned at one point!), so, whatever Frankie dove out of.

Yes, it's awesome that we're finally starting to see some maps with some variation instead of slavishly reproducing the one that will appear in the actual game. Score one for creative license!

 

On that note, can we start seeing some maps with jungles and volcanoes on them? I think that hunting jaguars or picking up hitchhikers and then ditching your car in a lava pool would be hella rad.
