Let me first start off by saying that i assume that the big mountain on the right side of the new Cuban 800 is Mt. Alamo (i'm not the only one who believes this).

 

Do you also believe that the mountain behind Trevor's head and the one on right of cuban 800 is also the large triangular one we see north of city from the bank tower?

 

If so let me ask 2 questions

 

1. What do you estimate the distance to be between Vinewood sign and the mountain.

 

2. What do you estimate the distance to be between the lighthouse and the mountain.

No, don't think so. The shape of that mountain looks exactly like the one in this screenshot.

Look at the mountain in the distance to the left of the one behind Trevor's head, do you think that is the triangular one north of bank tower?

 

Look at the left slope in bank tower screenshot and compare with right slope in Trevor screenshot.

 

Look at the right slope in bank tower screenshot and compare with left slope in Trevor screenshot.

 

And compare the shape

Apologies in advance if these things have already been highlighted, but there was a few things I thought might interest you guys that were brought up in the recent

:

 

 

2:42 - Same area as the one seen when Michael is sitting on the bench in Trailer #2.

9:37 - Therapist's place is possibly in the same area as 2:42, and the 'bench scene' from Trailer #2.

 

 

47:42 - Bridge here is very close to where the Blitz Party mission ends. Rockstar said it wasn't near the docks (seen again 51:35).

The third image above is just speculation on my part. The bridges look similar in design, but could very well be two different places. It could even be a bridge that doubles-up, so to speak (if that makes seen; the arch design is repeated twice on the one bridge).

 

 

50:56 - Possibly the same water tower from previous shots.

O wow, geez, that would totally destory my theory i just posted. 

 

I know, I've been through all these thoughts myself, but the lighthouse area being in North East corner is what I'm sticking to for now.

The lighthouse can be at northest, that's what I thought first. Problem is: Where would Mt. Chilliah be wandering? There is something quite wrong with that Picture. All maps would have to be redraw if you're right.

Notice the purple circle, inside the circle is a bump.

 

The next screenshot has the same bump, i again used the purple circle.

Notice that "ditch" inside the green circle.

Also notice that there are mutliple mountains, there is one big mountain, and some smaller ones in front of it.

 

Here is the same bump again.

Please notice that this screenshot is tilted so the angle of the slopes is different compared to other screenshots.

 

You asked me to compare the slopes because they, indeed, look the different.

The reason why they look different is that those smaller mountains i showed you in my 2nd screenshot are blocking the view on the slopes of the bigger mountain.

can you guys do a realistic comparison between your new maps and San Andreas' map ? I am a little bit confused about it thats why I ask

I get something like this:

 

Can't agree with this whatsoever. I feel the scale of that map needs some work to begin with but it's all accurately put together from what we have. However even suggesting that SA Los Santos is the same size as V is just.. Can't possibly take that seriously.

The city should be bigger.. not to mention the countryside. According to previews the city takes about 1/8 of the entire map..

Yes, you're making an excellent point.

 

One more thing we know, given the airport panorama (and here Fido's map isn't that far off), is that the runway, with a heading of 30 degrees, is running pretty much exactly towards the Vinewood Sign.

Also I think the various mountains we see such as the new one with parachute and river, these are all taken in the NE quarter of the map.

 

I think there is mountain range from E - NE - N along the coast, shaped like a fat V stuck in the corner.

 

Alamo Sea border the inner edge of this range and the ocean coast borders the outer edge.

 

The train circles the map passing through the mountain range, with an inner line (Alamo) and outer line like (Coast) in GTA IV.

Yes, there's no way that San Andreas's sketch version of Los Santos is the same size as GTA V's Los Santos.

 

Anyway, don't want to turn this into a size debate like what happened a few weeks ago.

Okay, so... the third image is the most obvious one. It's looking southeast, from the source of the Alamo River, in between Mt. Alamo (Mt. Trevorhead) to the left and Mt. Zancudo (Mt. Triangular) to the right, with the Vinewood Hills on the right side, running from east (far) to west (near).

 

Which of the two mountains will appear north of Vinewood Hill, when seen from the city?

I'm not sure we can see Vinewood Hills in that screenshot.

 

The mountain you see looking north from the city (like in the bank tower screenshot) is Mt. Zancudo.
